What a sad bunch of losers we are. Let's be kind to geese but let's not sign up to the Kyoto agreement. How much better it is to be a global pariah, but ban foie gras! Ever heard of the phrase 'shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic'?
La Caille is so hypocritical........for a little publicity they stop selling fois gras after 40 years in business by stating that they had no idea how it was produced. What a joke. They still have 2 Veal dishes on the menu, which is much more inhumane for animals.
Shirley, perhaps you should look into the production of Foie Gras. If you think it's production is less cruel than veal, you may be sadly mistaken. On par, perhaps, at best. As for Nicodemus, I don't agree with the shuffling deck chairs analogy, we make change when and where we can, slowly. All humans should engage in life this way. One battle at a time, however...
