I saw the news about the arrest of Betty Perry the 70yr old woman who is charged with resisting arrest and failing to maintain her landscaping, and i just had to send a comment about how i don't live in orem and after seeing how your city is run i hope i never live anywhere near your city .
How could such a thing happen arresting a old woman just for having a bad lawn and your city web site says " family city u.s.a." ? yeh right ,In what family do they arrest grandma for having a bad lawn?
I can not believe this could happen.I see criminal cases where a person is convicted of a crime and recieves no jail time but gets probation.And they would arrest a 70 year old woman for not watering her grass.The officer should not be suspended in any way,he should be fired.Its a good thing she did not have to use a cane to get around as he may have seen it as a potential weapon.What then?taser her or shoot her.All over dry grass?Come on,do we really need Police oficers like this in any community.
