We need to make sure Ron Paul gets elected since Utah is a red state, whether we like it or not, because he's the only Rep. that will likely end the war. Plus he can carry some of the blue and undecided vote and he's in second place. Let's face it; this war has to end.

Romney wins the vote here because ignorant LDS members think he's a good choice because he's LDS. If they only knew his flip flops on abortion and gay rights..

Romney is fine for a run-of-the-mill GOP candidate.

However, if Utahns are really the Patriots they call

themselves they really will shed the temptation to

vote for a Mormon candidate (whomever he might be)

and vote for the one TRUE conservative; Texas

Republican Ron Paul.

I would like to remind Utahns of how unfavorably

Mitt Romney was received during 2002. Despite his

Olympic Infamy, he has somehow managed to woo back

at least 80% of Utahns. There is an obvious rhyme

to your reasons Utah, and it has nothing to do with

Mitt Romney. As a conservative and a Utahn I

promise you, Ron Paul is truly our new hope for

America.

Jared how can you claim that Ron Paul is a patriotic american? He wants US to lose the war on terror. If US will retreat from Iraq then what? Didnt you hear the clamor of our soldiers? Let us win the war? Our soldiers are not coward like those who would like to pull them out.

On the issue of LDS voting for Mitt Romney. Mormons of all the religion in the world do not influence their members as to whom they will vote for. You cant even see any endorsements from its Leaders compared to most other evangelical sects who are blatantly making endorsements not allowing their members to choose for their own. Do not ever think that Mormons are going to be influenced by Mitt Romney because He is a Mormon. Utah Mormons will vote using their conscience and their patriotic duty as an American.

Jared obviously has biases of his own that he is using while wearing the cap of generalization to all LDS voters that Romney has their vote just because he is LDS. Wake up Jared, Im sure not all self centered, suedo patriotic, libertarian mountain men are going to vote for Paul just because he is libertarian. I am LDS and Romney hasnt secured my vote yet because like most free thinking voters (including LDS voters) I am weighing all the issues before making a decision.

There's a reason Ron Paul gets more donations from EVERY military branch than any other candidate. He's the only candidate wanting constitutionally-limited government. Pulling out of an unconstitutional war isnt cowardly (besides, we can't afford to borrow billions a day to pay for it--its sinking our economy right into a North American Union). As long as you're weighing all the issues, consider:

"Why of course the people don't want war... But after all it is the leaderswho determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people alongthat is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." Hermann Georing - Nazi commander, Nuremberg Trials

GBH, Aug 2005 on the BofMs descriptions of the problems of todays societyThe people succumbed to the wiles of ambitious and scheming leaders who led the people into terrible wars.

Benson, 1972, publicly reiterated The First Presidencys guideline of supporting political candidates who are truly dedicated to the Constitution in the tradition of our Founding Fathers.

Please wake up before it's too late.

All you Ron Paul advocates. GIVE UP, the only way he'll win is if the country decides to elect a president based on who has the most yard signs. He's a fool without a chance.

Or if they elect a president based on who follows the constitution and supports the people's rights the most? It will never happen though.
Rob Harward | 5:07 p.m. Jan. 28, 2008
Today we are burdened with political choices that seems like a decision between the lesser of two evils. I submit that in many cases this is more than just a feeling, but the reality. We are too unfamiliar with the inner workings of the constitution to know what these choices mean and how they will affect us.

From my deployment to Iraq and an in depth study of the constitution and founding era documents, I feel that the greatest dangers to our country is the people not knowing what government policy will make us free. This is why Ron Paul is seen as an outsider. I feel that it will not take a person long to realize that, after a study of the intent of the constitution, that Ron Paul is actually the candidate whom Americans would want the most to protect our liberty. This is because he understands the principles of the constitution and has the track record of voting in accordance with them as a Congressman.
