I'm very surprised the # of deaths isn't even higher than this. Doctors are so liberal in prescribing pain medication these days, no doubt for personal gain. Yes, the insurance companies are to blame also, but first and foremost are the drug companies, who profit at our expense. It's a horrible epidemic that has touched my life thru people I love... and, seems to have a never-ending 'ripple effect' on just about everyone. When will we all become accountable for our actions again? It's all very sad...
