The LDS church needs to be more open....it does teach that God used to be a man, that Jesus and Lucifer were brothers. That men can become Gods. So stop accusing everyone of misinformation and defend your teachings or make it clear that you don't believe or teach these things. It's quite simple.

It is quite simple. God created man in HIS OWN image, says so in the Bible. . yours and mine! Jesus and Lucifer were brothers as WE are all Brothers and Sisters, we are in fact the children of our living God. So much time and money wasted in putting out such a DVD in the effort to tear down anothers faith and beliefs. Imagine. . if that same money, time and effort was actually used to do the work that Christ taught. How much better our world could be. Surely, it must be sad for Heavenly Father to see so much adversity even amoung "Christians" who argue over who is right and who is wrong. The Savior taught Tolerance and Charity to all mankind. It was the miss-guided comments of a Baptist Minister that finally led me to accept the Gospel and humble myself to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Finally, I pray for those who would do us harm that their hearts might be softened and they might come to understand that together there is much good that we could all accomplish. Amen

I was blessed with the missionaries knocking on my parents door in England in 1954,subsequently I was raised as a member of the church. I remember the verbal abuse of ministers and the threats of burning in hell that caused my angel mother to be ostresized by her own family. At school I was reffered to as a dirty Mormon. All the persecution was absorbed. Being so young these experiences left me with some confusion as to reconciling my own experience of membership and its teachings and associations with Christian souls and much loved young missionaries with the lies and the mostly clergy missreprentations, some with such absurd stories to be comical. All through the years I have had my beliefs defined by others. Where do these strange people come from? they are caught in an oxymoron thinking they can save souls to the truth by telling blatant lies. Don't they know "you can't get figs from thistles" Perhaps if they did they would also know which spirit they are of! After over 50 years in the Church the blessings of membership are still vibrant and glorious.Never have I received teachings other than what the Christ would have taught me.

Yes God was once a man & Jesus Christ & Lucifer were brothers in the spirit world. We believe there was a war in heaven between our brothers and those of us on this earth chose the side of Jesus Christ. We do not hide this nor do we hide that there is not a hell of burning fire where men are tormented for all time. We do believe in levels of heaven and the highest is where God dwells. But most of all we know that God loves all his children & allows men to work out their probation on earth and for those that do not understand or have not heard of Christ will work out their probation in spirit prison and continue to learn in spirit paradise. God is a loving Father - who among you would never forgive their child or stop loving them or want only the best for them. This is the God we believe in. We believe in an unpaid ministry, forgiveness, love, charity, and strive to behave like Jesus Christ - I really don't understand the smallness of some mens minds that can really believe these are things of satan!

First of all I think that people will believe whatever they wanna believe. I personally have being a LDS faithfully for 14 years. But when I found out about JS lies; multiple marriages, gold digging; BY hate towards blacks, and ultimately the DNA stuff that showed me I was NOT a lamanite I was angry; disappointed; hurt.

They made me believe I was a special child of God fulfilling a prophecy accepting the gospel. Bologna!!

But hey! If Mormons wanna still live in denial; who am I to stop them; right?

I had a most open mind toward the few Mormon missionaries who, about once a year, have begun to walk down my road.
Where my neighbors would not open the door, I invited them in, fed them, talked to them.
But with the recent FLDS events in texas, I've changed my thinking.
The behavior of LDS people towards these families has enlightening to see.
LDS have offered no help to these people, and are the most outspoken cheerleaders of the system which is attacking them.
I judge them by their works, and like my neighbors, then the mormon missionaries come around now, I won't answer the door.

I think that it is a matter of common knowledge that fundamental Christianity and LDS doctrine clash in certain areas. I personally am not offended by the DVD because I feel that its perpatrators have thier hearts in the right place. That said I do not think that LDS members are under obligation to listen to the DVD's message. I think that history should be looked at honestly. When a work that claims to teach "real history" comes out I am wary or its creators agenda. This aplies to all possible sources of such info.

The arguments of this so-called minister are pathethic at best. They came out with better stuff 100 years ago. Sad that some people make of living off garbage like this.

It is sad to me that in today when we have so much that we can read and study, that there are still people that insist on trying to hurt the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I wonder how these people would feel, if their answers had been killed by mobs of other faiths. Had stolen their property. (My ancestors left their home In Nauvoo, and in return for it got a quilt) My 2nd Great Grandfather died in Iowa on the plains. My Great Grandfather served with the Mormon Battalion, which was organized to protect this country. Many of my ancestors settled the barren lands of Utah, California and Nevada, for the benefit of those now living in these states. If you need to "bash" the beliefs of over 13 million people, you ought to get all the facts before you start in. A prophet of the Lord was shot by a mob comprised of many other religions. Elder Robert D. Hales talk, "Christian Courage: The Price of Discipleship" in the October 2008 General Conference was something of a wake-up call for me. I have battled online with Mormon haters since Mitt Romney became a contender for the Republican Presidential nomination. Elder Hales talk set me straight and reaffirmed my testimony that Joseph Smith was the Prophet of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith himself was an exemplary follower of Christ. It's sad when people allow themselves to be duped by men and women who do what they term the work of God for "filthy lucre". Joseph Smith was kind, forgiving, stalwart in adversity and never ever, even in the face of severe persecution, denied the events of his early life. He gave his life for his testimony thereby sealing it with his own blood. He was a true Prophet of God!

I believe that truth does not attack evil with evil means; that is not the spirit of the gospel of Jesus Christ... So why would these people use their time in such a way? As Christians, don't they have more worthy things to work on, like perfecting the saints...?

I am thankful to be an LDS. I have pondered, prayed, and read the Book of Mormon, and I can't negate this testimony in my chest: I know with all my heart that it is true! �He lives!
