He sounds like a man who is not afraid to use both his mind and his heart.

I'm impressed with him and his wife for being willing to get involved so fully in serving others. What they are doing with the children they have adopted is very, very difficult.

I liked the article because it did not just address one issue, but a whole person. Even if you do not agree with Mr. Shurtleff, at least you can better understand where he is coming from. And that only seems fair because it appears that he is willing to listen to the other side and allow himself to be influenced. We can see that he is a real person who is constantly learning and growing.

Based on the article, I would love to meet this man and his family.
