You are confused with the book about a dog named Shiloh.

Yes, the commenters are right, and I should know, because I was named after the song which is spelled 'Shilo', not 'Shiloh', like the ancient town in Israel or the battle from the American Civil War.

And I love my name, despite plenty of jerk comments like yours such as: "still mad at your parents for that one?" as well as the heaps of people who just start singing the Neil Diamond song when they meet me (old people, that is).

What you think I would rather be named, one of the million 'Amy's or 'Melissa's or 'Scott's out there? I think not.

I did really like the story about the dog Shiloh tho.
