I have a real problem with this slogan. My first reaction to it was, "yeah Life Elevated, like we are high on drugs." Honestly, and I know other people who had the same reaction. But most of all the reason why I really do not like this slogan is because it seems so high and mighty. It is as if we are saying to the rest of the world, "I am from Utah, and in Utah we live a better or higher life than people outside of Utah." We really need to change our attitude.
Love it and have since I heard it last year as I was contemplating moving here from Maine. Touches upon everything about Utah that I love. It can represent everything from the mountains to the spirituality of the people that settled here. So, anyone know where I can pick up a dozen Utah-Life Elevated T-Shirts I can send back to friends in Maine? If there are none, may be a good way to make up some of that ad money? And for those who don't like it here, go test the waters in Maine-there's plenty of water to test so buy an umbrella and lots of bug spray! Oh, yeah, be sure to smile when you pay an 8.5% income tax, outrageous property taxes, and sales taxes to boot! Maine's "theme" is Vacationland. Mainers call it "Taxationland". I'll take Life Elevated anyday.
