This is indeed one of the most fascinating places on earth, of which I only heard a couple of years ago. I stumbled upon a site displaying wonderful large photos taken around 1900. There were beautifully dressed chilren and their governess in them, engaged in artistic activities, mainly. Unfortunately, I can t remember where they were. They simply vanished into thin air. If anyone were able solve this mystery, I beg them to give the link to that site. I know many people would be delighted to see those photos.
