I realize that this is a religious newspaper, so I'm in the minority here, but whatever...

I don't just shop on Sundays *like* it's any other day of the week, I shop on Sundays because I believe that it *is* just another day of the week. I also spend the rest of the week with my family and friends, I don't need to set aside a special day to do this.

It's an interesting thing about the laws, but it was my understanding that this country was founded on a separation of church and state. Not shopping on Sundays because it's against your beliefs is fine; that's your freedom. Forcing everyone to close on Sundays because of your beliefs goes against the foundation of this country.

I am Jewish so I celebrate the Sabbath on the seventh day. It is a great inconvience for me not to be able to do my shoppings on Sundays. It is a Mormon's right not to do business on Sundays just like it is my right to not do business on Saturdays. The government forcing me to observe of the Sabbath on a day I don't agree with is an invasion of my religous rights.
