YOU ARE CORRECT THE MAJORITY OF US THAT RIDE HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLES ARE LAW ABIDING HARD WORKING INDIVIDUALS THAT ENJOY THE WIND IN OUR FACES. WE ENJOY THE FEELING OF FREEDOM THAT RIDING GIVES US. UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE 1% ER'S OUT THERE THAT CONTINUE TO GIVE THE REST OF US A BAD NAME. RECENTLY I HAD THE OPPERTUNITY TO VISIT AN OGDEN WATERING HOLE WHICH WAS HOSTING ONE SUCH CLUB. THE VAGO'S, OUT OF NEVADA AND CALIFORNIA.
NOT THE NICEST PEOPLE I'VE MET IN THE MOTORCYCLING COMMUNITY. THERE GOAL SEEMS TO BE TO ROLL-UP MEMBERS FROM OTHER CLUBS, THUS ENHANCING THEIR NUMBERS. I'VE HEARD TELL THAT RECENTLY A CONTINGENT OF HELL'S ANGLES PASSED THRU THE STATE HOLDING CONFERENCES WITH DIFFERENT CLUBS TRYING TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER OR NOT THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO INSIST THAT THEY ARE AFFILIATED WITH THE RED AND WHITE "H.A'S"

I APPRECIATE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT KEEPING AN EYE ON THE SITUATION. I FEEL SAFER KNOWING THAT THIS ISSUE IS IN THE FOREFRONT OF OUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT GANG UNITS. AS AN INDEPENDANT RIDER, YOU NEVER KNOW WHO'S FEET YOUR STEPPING ON AND WHETHER OR NOT YOU'LL SURVIVE THE ENCOUNTER. IF THEY WEAR A PATCH, PULL THEM OVER, CHECK THEM OUT AND PROTECT THE REST OF US!

Curt

I ride with a Christian MC and wear colors, therefore lumping all patch holders into one big blob is by some considered harassment. I don't care if you pull me over, but do it with a cause, not just because I fly colors.

Bob

Curt is right. You don't pull someone over because they where a patch. Get a clue Grumpy/Poser.

Riding a Harley does notmake one bad. I started riding a Harley in 1972 as a Motor Officer back east. Now I own (with the bank) my own. One of the largest groups of riders now is the over 50 group. (Yes baby boomers) We are nowable tolet our hair down (if we have some)as our kids are gone and now watch with the jaws hitting the floor the sight of their parents wearing black leather and riding a Harley.

We have paid our dues, and look for a way to enjoy life. Yes we might break a law now and then (maybe a bit too fast, maybe a bit too loud exhaust)(not as loud as some car sound systems) but enjoying life none the less. We meet others on the road and have a great time getting to knoweach other. 1%ers have been around from the start, like street gangs, and criminal groups they fall into the same catagory.

Judge us like anyone else, look, listen, and join in the fun! Enjoy America from the back of a Motorcycle. Oh yea read AARP.
