I am no scientist, but to think that we are no more than a biological machine seems rather shallow and unlikely to me. This, of course, is my oppinion. One of my thoughts on the matter is what I call the car and driver allegory. The car represents the body. The controls, steering brakes, etc., are the brain. But that which controls this machine is the driver; soul or spirit. I think of the soul as a form of living, conscious, energy. What we call reality, is a classroom. We are here to learn and make certain choices. Love is the most powerful force in the universe. Money and rank mean nothing. Throughout recorded history, humans have tried to worship that which they could not understand or perceive.
But I think we have all been hardwired with the knowledge that we were created by a superior entity.
I have often thought of the word "dead" as a contraction for the word, "deactivated". Once the driver leaves the car, the car is deactivated. The driver, then continues on ther own, to their destination. God said: "Let there be light." and there were photons. Another and better experience awaits us all.
