Plural wives plead case

I have visited the home of Alex Joseph while he was still living and had only 12 wives. His wives were most vocal and convincing in their advocacy of their superior system. Most of his wives were college graduates. One of them was City Attorney (Alex was Mayor). All of them could cite book, chapter and verse from the Bible to support their belief in the system used by the Patriarchs of the Old Testament.

Having worked in a law office, I have seen the horrible toll taken by our system of monogamy (serial monogamy!) on wives and children. In Alex Joseph's home, a wife could leave if she wanted. No need to hire an attorney or subject the children to litigation.

Alex Joseph's wives were united in their support of polygamy. I found nothing in their household to fault as I broke bread with them and joined them in prayer.
