Another situation that exposes the flaws, albeit too late, of the problems with large bureaucracies.

Lack of communication, confusing reports, failure to respond: this is just the tip of the iceberg if the health care legislation passes.

After days and days of reports of all manner of doctors, instructors, fellow soldiers, military commanders, fellow doctors, fellow Islamists, physicians, spiritual advisers etc. etc. who ALL felt there was something seriously troubling about this man....Does anyone else beside me find it astounding that NO ONE ever said or did anything about it??????

If this man's behaviors and poor evaluations was so evident why wasn't he given and undesirable discharge? How many lives has his incompetence and negative attitude affected in a negative manner? How many soldiers lives has he wrongfully contributed to? Mind games are devastating to any individual if not properly done. This is a delicate position that requires only the best in the field, not some mentally challenged individual.

There's a huge gap between "odd and lazy" and "mass murderer". We'll just have to wait for more details. At least this is one incident in which the shooter has survived,and his testimony might be helpful in preventing future such disasters.
