Good Riddance!
SAm | 6:36 a.m. July 7, 2009
Marjorie - funny you can't accept "Palin's inexperiece" yet are so willing to swoon over Obama's incompetence and inexperience. Obama's only experince has been as a street organizer. You can't count the senate because he was running for office from day one. If being a one term govenor was a disqualifing factor for Palin running as vice president certainly being a state senator should have disqualified Obama running for President if one was to follow your logic. Obama's strengths... he reads well and that just about covers it.
Value Sarah | 7:05 a.m. July 7, 2009
Sarah was a phenomenon...for SNL. She has so much to offer us in entertainment value.

SAM: Give it up. There is absolutely a world of difference between Obama and Palin. One has a brain and the other doesn't. One is informed and the other isn't. One went to the nation's best schools and the other one skipped around from school to school, barely graduating. One....Ah, you get the point. Sarah Palin is an absolute joke. She won't even gather a peep in the History books 20 years from now. She's utterly irrevelant.
Anonymous | 7:16 a.m. July 7, 2009
Palin is all about Palin. She wants to make lots of money. She is a poor example of a public servant. The media follows her like a line of traffic rubbernecks past an accident. Sheer entertainment, but no substance.
America weary of the Right | 7:38 a.m. July 7, 2009
The fact is America has grown weary of those from the religious right preaching "our kind is more moral than you" and "our kind are better Americans than you" BS.
If I didn't know better, I'd guess Palin grew up in Utah.
Sarah's a quitter. | 7:42 a.m. July 7, 2009
She used the very words in her resignation speech. Palin called herself a quitter. Are quitters the best the Republican Party has to offer? Really?? Sarah needs to go away for the good of the party and our country.
re: Sam | 7:44 a.m. July 7, 2009
Correction. Mrs. Palin, the Republican nominee for the office of Vice President, couldn't even last ONE TERM as Governor, OF ALASKA.

What a joke she is, and what a joke that nomination is proving again to be for the Republcian party.

Limbaugh, Palin, Newt...these are the current leaders of the Republican party. That is a sad state of affairs.
couldn't finish first term | 8:24 a.m. July 7, 2009
The woman couldn't even complete her first term as governor (without suspicion) and seems to be the perfect candidate for the far-right, the GOP is in deeper trouble than I thought.
Anonymous | 8:34 a.m. July 7, 2009
The GOP (trying to recover from the disasterous 8 years) banked on Palin to sway the extremists on the Right to lead them to victory.

They didn't realize they needed more than Utah's electoral college votes to pull that BS off.
wow | 9:07 a.m. July 7, 2009
The hatred spewed towards Palin - particularly by media hatemongers and feminist hypocrites - merely cements the image of the intolerant liberal and guarantees in their fall from grace even more spectacularly than the Republicans (only 8 years ago Republicans held majorities in all branches of govenment)
Timothy | 9:50 a.m. July 7, 2009
Goodness, will this woman not ever go away..She has to have been one of the most unqualified persons ever considered for a presidential ticket...Whatever instruction she received at the six institutes of higher learning she attended does not appear to have taken;she is very vindictive and ungrateful towards her adversaries and people who have aided her in the past;and she appears to be ill equipped to deal with the blood sport of politics...She seems to be all about herself and her family(she would fit in well in Utah)a typical narcissistic personality or even perhaps a borderline facist...All i can say is,than the Lord in his infinite wisdom for not allowing her to have access to nuclear codes or any sort of national power...Twenty years from now Sarah Palin will be look on as a sick joke cast to gullible simpletons to stoke their anger and frustration towards liberal minded people(or maybe just intelligent ones)and you will be able to find her in the same historical dustbin that her hero,Joe McCarthy,occupies...
The best thing that could happen | 10:19 a.m. July 7, 2009
The VERY BEST thing that could happen is for the news media to just give her the attention she deserves, and ignore her. She's not newsworthy.
Anonymous | 10:42 a.m. July 7, 2009
Sarah Palin represents the radical right-wing that has poisoned this country with their twisted notion of God and country.
What it really is, is an entitlement thing.
Anything goes. Whatever it takes. You know the drill.
They are actually liberals in drag.
Colin Powell is correct in telling the GOP they will fail with these types in power.
To SAm | 11:00 a.m. July 7, 2009
On the experience issue: I'm a Republican, but if you didn't see the difference between Obama's and Palin's knowledge of and grasp of the issues as demonstrated during the campaign you're being willfully blind. That's not to say you have to agree with Obama, but he does have a comprehension of the issues that he speaks about, unlike Palin, who clearly wasn't up for the task.
SEE SAW | 12:32 p.m. July 7, 2009
PALIN is a physically beautiful woman. She has made some mistakes raising her family. Haven't we all?

She is on the threshold of making millions with her book and FAUX NEWS RADIO AND TV GIGS. She is ready to CASH IN becoming the consumate CAPITALIST. Who wouldn't be envious?

She is good at PREACHING to a base filled with hate and contempt for AMERICA. It is her first amendment right to lead these kinds of people. Who wouldn't want to be a leader?

Here's hoping we haven't seen the last of this DIVA.
Sam the Ham | 2:23 p.m. July 7, 2009
The democrats and their cohorts in the media did a masterful job of removing the Palin threat by grinding this woman into the ground. They are to be congratulated for a very effective job of personal destruction.

Republicans will never amount to anything politically if the don't learn how to more effectively vilify their opponents who show some promise.
re: SEE SAW | 3:03 p.m. July 7, 2009
"PALIN is a physically beautiful woman"
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Quite frankly, if you get a close-up of this woman's eyes and look closely, you will notice the same skewed, twisted look as Charles Manson's.
Seriously.
bye-bye GOP | 3:17 p.m. July 7, 2009
Republicans better start heeding Colin Powell's warning about the ultra-conservatives doing their dirt and polarizing the country and rejecting these awful people instead of heeding the twisted advice of ilk like Rush O'Hannity.

It may already be too late for them.

Palin may be a fall guy.
Osborne | 4:36 p.m. July 7, 2009
i think that we need to do things about problems and stop covering stories on people start building the environment to become better at other things.
Anonymous | 6:11 p.m. July 7, 2009
Palin's demise and distance from the mainstream GOP is her own doing.
America has grown weary of her kind of nasty politics.
Let the radical right blame it on the liberals.

LOL!
LIBERAL IGNORANCE | 7:01 p.m. July 7, 2009
they complain about palin's experience,

although, I thought it was government BY and FOR the PEOPLE, NOT the elites.

But liberals tignore the fact that Obama has had NO experience,

NO ecxecutive experience,
never even had a job in the private sector,
no foriegn affairs experince,

is runnnig a school paper reall experince for HIgh office of the land,

or being a community prppagandizer ...er organizer really experience for highest office of the land?
or pretending to be a senator, but NEVER voting for or against anything, real experience?

I believe being a mayor and a governor is much more meaningful experience.

re: Liberal (whatever) | 7:32 p.m. July 7, 2009
"I believe being a mayor and a governor is much more meaningful experience."

Evidently Sarah Palin can't handle either - so she bailed.

And this is some sort of weird heroic effort to our conservatives.

LOL!

Do you suppose conservatives will understand what biting off more than you can chew means?
The age of Limbaugh | 7:52 p.m. July 7, 2009
A quick perusal of the some of the childish whining from the neocons above prove these are indeed the darkest days for the GOP.

And is this any surprise?
re: Liberal ignorance | 9:32 a.m. July 8, 2009
As a member of the PEOPLE, I resent the implication that Sarah Palin is the best we have to offer.
re: Liberal ignorance | 11:15 a.m. July 8, 2009
Do you suppose you could take the time to read through your post BEFORE you post it? Or are you trying to show just how ignorant Republicans really are?

And the part about reading your posts before you post them goes for many of you regular (and irregular) posters. Does it really take too long to read through what you wrote and correct your mistakes?
Anonymous | 3:40 p.m. July 8, 2009
It is a well-known fact that today's Republicans are way too influenced by the extremists in the Right-wing movement.
Why do you think they dumped Palin?
LIberal Ignorance | 4:37 p.m. July 8, 2009

Anonymous | 4:59 p.m. July 8, 2009
Liberal Ignorance, once Jews were tolerant too. After years, of conservative lies and scapegoating we liberal have run out of nice.

Because she's a Maverick & hockey mom.

Some advice for the soon to be former Governor of Alaska, Motley Crue said it best, "Don't go away mad. Just go away."
