Madoff gets 150 years in prison
47 comments | Read story
How California working for you democrats?
Madoff could not have pulled this off by himself. No way..
I hope the Feds nail the remainder of the crooked clan and associates.
Let him live on the charity of those he's cheated.
Greed will always exist, especially in a Captilist environment. And when that Greed is unregulated, this is the result.
Nothing too surprising.
Hardly, Mr. Madoff has been in business since 1960, through a few demo's administrations as well.
He could then join with some other great crooks - taking honest people's money - living like royalty - and spending like there's no tomorrow!!!
Also no prison time or lengthy investigations when you're through - just a FAT Congressional pension to look forward to!
What a SWEET deal!
Most people is general are getting pretty sick of the conservative -VS- liberal take on everything. If that's the way you think, then you are what's wrong with America. And by the way, California has been and currently is still being run by a Republican governor, that's how that's working for us.
Say goodbye to Italian marble, $100 bath towels, and milled French soap.
You get a 10' x 12' cel, and a stainless steel toilet with no door. Life as you knew it is a distant memory.
What the heck were you thinking? Doesn't EVERY Ponzi schemer get nailed?
You better hope they don't give you a "roomie" in jail.
Mike
Does EVERY situation have to be aligned with some sort of BOM scripture?
Joe
I would like Madoff to get quartered as a form of execution like the Spaniards did during the colonial era
Obama has stolen $5 Trillion in 100 days while Madoff stole only $500 Billion in 30 years....lets give Obama 1500 years right along side Bubba!!
Where did you get your figures? I'm guessing Limbaugh or Hannidy might have thrown that number out a few times? Did it occur to you that neither of your "heroes" even have a college degree? Why would you listen with such conviction to a couple of blowhards with just a High School education backing them up? Oh, and our education system is in such great shape to be putting out people who shape others opinions...
Take a little bit of truth, stretch it out to fit your current talking points, ad in some lies and spin it to fit your agenda. It is a great formula...Maybe I should go write for those clowns, bet the money is good...
I dont think he will last 10 years.
//How do we keep him alive so he can serve out the whole 150?//
Keep him away from Jack Kevorkian.
Judging from the way YOU spelled "Hannidy" your not to educated yourself!!!
Several agents quit or were fired for not living up to SEC standards.
Missing a one percentage point on a portfolio could bring thousands of dollars fines.
While the SEC harassed small players like us, these billion dollar crooks were raping and pillaging investors.
How many SEC employees have been fired? none..
How many SEC employees have been fined? none..
Madoff was an SEC administrator.
And he made them look like the fools they are.
Hypocrisy and poetic justice.
If we are going to be persnickety about spelling:
It's "you're not too educated yourself", not "your not to educated yourself".
You misspelled two words while scolding "Rush O'Hannidy" about misspelling only one; he is one word ahead of you so far!
When I heard this story many years ago, I thought
this couldn`t happen again.
But obviously the greed often nebulize the mind of the customer.
Thanks for that post. I had a great laugh. :)
I too am tired of the right vs left. There are many more people guilty of crimes in this situation. 150 years is ridiculous. I'd rather see him actually pay debt via manual labor, than letting him sit in a cell getting fat while living off tax dollars.
They both are!
