Well, it appears that he's applying the scriptures to himself...

Mrs. Sanford must be a great woman....she is handling this with real class....maybe we need her in elected office. God bless her in the challenges she will face as a mother to the 4 boys...who have been betrayed, along with her, by their father. I sure respect how she is coping and wanting the best for her family.

Boy, you gotta admire the man's chutzpah, using the bible to justify his sleazy behavior!

Again, we do not know our leaders. I thank God for Obama. We see a man with a family and with love for them. We elected the right guy.

"What I find interesting is the story of David, and the way in which he fell mightily fell in very, very significant ways, but then picked up the pieces and built from there,"

Oh Brother!

I think that David was a sleaze bag. So is this guy. He has dishonored the office, he's willfully violated his marital vows (what God hath joined together let no man divide asunder). Then he refers to the Bible to cover over his sins. If he is truly sorry for his sins, he should resign and leave politics. He's violated a sacred trust.

If he really was reading the Bible he would know all the problems that David brought upon himself from his actions. If he is going to have those sorts of things coming after him, he should resign. He will have too much to deal with to be able to be a governor.

Conservatives and family values is like the Jazz and Jazz fans. They talk a great game because their team can't play a good game. When their team failure again, it's never the fault of the team.

Jenny Sanford found out about the affair in Jan and told him to get his priorities straightened out. But Sanford toddled right off for another assignation when Jenny was clearly hoping he was on the Appalachian Trail. So, it seems the lies that Sanford had his staff put out on his behalf were aimed at deceiving his wife further when he was, supposedly, in reconciliation with her.

Then he shows up at a press conference all full of remorse and resolve to reunite his family? If you believe that, you probably believe all Rush's distortions and lies too.

Face it, we've got the leaders that the GOP and conservatives want. It just doesn't turn out to be worth a $3 bill.

"This is a couple with FOUR boys BORN to the Sanfords who fit into this family equation. You gays cannot give birth to children in a traditional way into a traditional family"

Neither can a married heterosexual couple who, for whatever reason, cannot conceive children biologically and adopt children. DUH!

should have remained as a VP on Wall Street, she would have been better off without him.

Isn't this the same guy who wanted Clinton's head?
Wanted him impeached, like yesterday?

How sad for the children of the sanfords. Too bad for Mrs. Sanford.

Jenny Sanford is an undignifed woman. She could dip out of the limelight and the public would forget about this affair. But obviously, she longs for the drama and attention, and the media attention she receives is more important than the privacy of her children.

Pathertic!

My husband I found (after 28 years of marriage and knowing him for 30) was having an affair and moved in with her. I don't know if he ended it either.
