Just what we don't need on Center St in downtown Provo another GLASS monstrosity that doesn't blend with the historic feel and of course NOT be made available to local events. How stupid is that. There is good property two blocks South that would be more suitable to traffic and parking and would upgrade that "blighted" feel. Be smart Provo council for a change.

This is typical of a Lewis Billings "project." Just like the Covey Arts Center and everything else, when he finally makes a decision they build something completely undersized that from the beginning has not chance of competing with bigger, more comfortable facilities elsewhere. The convention center in PG will be bigger, more accessible and have more parking than this one. Plus, it is even closer to the SL airport. Even with all the money this mayor has wasted on the airport it won't help this situation. In addition to the undersize the Mayor is known for under funding projects as well so they are not only to small, but cheap, and in the end - useless.

What a terrible idea! We in Provo are strangled and revolted by downtown, not drawn to it. Just let me get to the freeway and get out of this backward, not-consumer-friendly hole. I'm only here for the University, just let me get to I-15 so I can spend my money in AF or Orem. In fact, all of Provo is here just because of the University. Remind me again why anyone would possibly want to have a convention here?

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
