The Manti Pageant is incredible...

We live on the east coast and the pageant here for us is the Hill Cumorah Pageant.... It is beyond incredible! over 700 in the cast and only about 4 days to prepare.

Nephi's ship, Abinidi's testifying and burning, the Atoning Sacrifice of our Savior, not to mention His coming to the America's......

COME AND SEE IT.... WE PREPARE FOR OVER 7000 AN EVENING

Why don't they put on Shakespeare plays instead of that make believe nonsenese? MacBeth is far superior to Moroni and would be worthwhile and uplifting. As it is, the "Mormon Miracle Pageant" is akin to "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" or "Peter Cottontail."

Honestly, our family went with a few other families a few years ago and we won't go back. Not saying the people didn't put a lot of work into it, it's just that cheesy acting/script was what we all didn't like. Seems like a long standing tradition is just a tradition that no one wants to change the script on. It needs a bit of help, but in small towns this is probably their pride and joy . Just saying that we'd never want to take people who aren't LDS there. It would be pretty embarrassing, to be honest. No wonder people misunderstand the LDS. If it's not an official LDS production done by the Church, it doesn't seem to have the same class.

where's the rest of the story? i'm reading the story and stop! it's over! i'm looking for the rest of the story and "where did it go". if you folks want people to read your paper then you need to print all the articel in the paper, i don't want to go to another website to read the article. c'mon, get it together or get out of the business!

Miracle? Hmmm, I just think it is rediculious. It is almost shameful and I think it is grateful it is contained as small as it is. I agree with Heather, it is best we don't invite those who are not friends to this embarrassment.

Time to update | 3:48 p.m. June 21, 2009
The Hill Cumorah Pageant is a fantastic example of what a church pageant should be. It is fully supported by the Church and is updated year to year.

It's high time Manti gets updated with a truly inspiring pageant that is worthy of the story it could tell. The story of the Manti pageant is terrific, and this is not to downplay the spirit and sacrifice it has taken to produce since it first appeared on Temple Hill, but the time has come to lengthen our stride and do something more.

Our family has been "The Hill Cumorah Pageant", "The Nauvoo Pageant" and "The Mormon Miracle Pageant". They are all worth of watching. They are in different regions. Yes, even by the view point of professionalism, The Hill Cumorah Pageant is the outstanding one. But we enjoyed them all. Thank you the volunteers and the members involved. You are doing great job!

We have seen all three Pageants, some more than once, and each of them has a special message though perhaps they each differ in diverse professional qualities. I don't expect a junion high, a high school and a university production to be the same and neither do most critics.
