I had completely forgotten about the mop incident. Goes to show that accomplishing your goals goes a lot way in helping others forget your past. Great work this year Kyle!

Those of us who saw Kyle run in high school knew he had tremendous talent. He could very easily be the next great Utah steeplechaser, following in the steps of Henry Marsh and Farley Gerber. Congratulations Kyle!

Kyle's dad Tom Perry was a long time missionary companion of mine in Thailand 33 years ago, and we had many a "mop guy" experience in Korat, Thailand, with 110 degree heat on our heavy steel Chinese "pheasant brand" bicycles...Kyle's personal determination, goal setting & endurance prowess is part of his DNA. He also has a nationally ranked cyclist brother, and I never would have expected this from my old lovable missionary companion.. he would wake up and ask why he was loosing so much weight...again, 110 degree heat and 14 hour days in the tropics will do this to you...congratulations to Benson for seeing beyond the "mop guy" and now it's 2012 to plan for! eat more Thai food! GO KYLE...
