I always stay away from these types of books. This book is certainly not endorsed by the Church or any of its leaders.

Doesn't mean it's not true Uncle Reality.
Your textbooks weren't endorsed by the LDS church either. Does that mean everything you learned in school is wrong?

I'm LDS and I've studied other religions and they are fascinating. I am convinced that Mohammad was a prophet (although not LDS of course) and a very good person. The Islamic faith changed over time just like Christianity, but its roots are very similar to ours. If you knew anything about the Islamic faith, you would certainly see parallels in religious doctrine! There are, however, some serious differences, especially when it comes to women. That's why I'm LDS and not any other religion.

If I am not mistaken, Uncle Reality making a joke. He probably has run across some people like the one he is pretending to be, and he is making light of them.

As Latter-day Saints, it is beyond me why we want to cozy up with the Muslims. I have seen several articles in the Deseret News aroun the same topics and it is beyond me. Sometimes these articles and the comments go a little to far.

Geff, why not "cozy up" to Muslims and those of any other religion? What's wrong with getting to know people who are not like us and making friends of them?

Prophet's Muhammad's life is a spot of meditation, and thoughtful consideration for all believers that can not be compared with any human beings. He was the real teacher of humanity that was once lost in chaos, darkness and ignorance.Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you prophet Muhammad
