I can't believe that the hysteria surrounding the H1N1 virus continues. It was first discovered in 1930 and has likely been passed around since the beginning of time. If you have ever had the flu, there is a good chance you have had the H1N1 virus. The number of deaths in the U.S. from 'swine flu' is now in the 70's for 2009. Yet, more than 100 people die each day from the other strains of the flu. The annual number of deaths from 'swine flu' is comparable to deaths from lightning strikes. Time to lay this topic to rest.

This is a new strain of flu, that has not been seen before. It may be poorly documented what exactly it is, but it is not the same as any flu that has been in existence before.
This is a serious issue, and we need to treat it as such.

Like watching clouds gather across the valley and preparing to take cover should the storm get serious and move towards you, paying attention to the behavior of influenza viruses is prudent. Having good hygiene practices and strategies developed for a more severe influenza impact is like having an umbrella and a place to seek shelter from lightening when out of doors and the forcast calls for a chance of afternoon thunder storms.

It's great stuff, but don't let your kids eat it (some smell pretty good to a toddler) and don't use it every five seconds as some of it can be absorbed into the skin and overuse can cause alcohol poisoning in children.
