All-Star games | 9:23 a.m. June 15, 2009
There ARE alot more BIG names than Les's. There are legitimate D1 players that will hopefully be there as well.
funny.. | 9:39 a.m. June 15, 2009
funnay how all of the BIG names are not playing BIG time college football... and no, Southern Utah is not big time college football.

they might be big names for Alta since they don't send people to the D1 ranks (besides one RB and a couple walk ons)

All Stars to Fight Again? | 4:07 p.m. June 15, 2009
After last year, shouldn't they make the headline read "Prep Football Stars to Fight Again?" If memory serves me correctly, the 4A/5A game was called after the first quarter because of fighting!
Game of the Season | 7:12 p.m. June 15, 2009
Week 3. Timpview @ Alta.
Re:Game of the Season | 7:12 p.m | 10:00 p.m. June 15, 2009
How Can an 0-2 Alta be the Game of the Season Vs TV?
Alta will be 0-3 after TV beats them down. Alta will Lose to CW week 1, Bingham week 2 and TV week 3. Get Ready for a long season Alta as the Talent has dried up this year.
The NEW DYNASTY | 10:24 p.m. June 15, 2009
of Salt Lake County, the ALTA HAWKS. They will go undefeated this year and win the state championship once again. There will always be talent at Alta until they build a HS in Draper.
there is a hs in draper | 12:11 a.m. June 16, 2009
its Juan Diego and give them a few more years all of their "non recruited" star athletes will be competing at the 4A or 5A level, give them time.
re the new dynasty | 11:26 a.m. June 16, 2009
you arent very smart are you, but you are clever saying there isnt a school in draper. Juan Diego has only been around for like 6 years.

All Stars to Fight Again? | 4:07 p.m. June 15, 2009

It was called at the end of the 3rd. It was 35-0 or maybe 42-0 at the time. The 4A kids were getting their annual spanking and a few of the Timpview kids lashed out. I was there, neither team had their D1 kids. I doubt they will play this game either. Look for another 5 TD victory for 5A. Just too much talent. Sorry, just the truth.
Alta Unbeaten?? | 3:39 p.m. June 17, 2009
Please.... They play Timpview this year. It is about time Alta grew some.
Wait.... | 3:03 p.m. June 18, 2009
It was Timpview who would not schedule Alta. Alta schedules Bingham every year and picks up some tough CA teams including the CIF champ, Grant. Blowing them out 2 years ago and losing by 1 TD last year. Keep in mind that was their closest game and Alta had several turnovers.

CIF is the toughest division in California, in other words they are considered the #1 team in CA last year. Ya.... Alta is the team that needed to grow some guts.

have fun boys!
SLC guy | 9:22 a.m. June 19, 2009
Sorry 5A rolls the 4A boys again. I heard Timpview kids weren't even going to show this time around.

I also know for a fact that the state's 2 biggest, literally, recruits Su'a Filo and Martinez CAN'T play since they played in 2 All Star games already in Hawaii and Florida. (it's an NCAA rule that limits them)

So 5A kills them in the trenches, another 35-0 kind of game.

Alta | 5:02 p.m. June 19, 2009
Alta has a better line this year than I can ever remember, their skill kids are as good as the last two seasons, and their defense will start at least two D-1 kids if not 3 or 4. As long as Coach Hamilton is at Alta they will be the perrenial favorite to win every year. The sophomore group they have coming in is phenomenal, get used to it folks, Alta is the football king in the state. T-ville does it with recruiting, Alta's kids all live in boundary....how about them apples!
alta's schedule | 5:05 p.m. June 19, 2009
Bingham
Cottonwood
Taylorsville
Am. Fork
Jordan
Riverton
Brighton
Lone Peak
Pleasant Grove

If Alta goes undefeated this year they could go down as one of the all-time best teams in the state's history. Three time champs with that schedule is pretty difficult to argue with.

Bingham has the hardest preseason schedule of any team in Utah by far.
Viewmont
Alta
Trinity
American Fork
Cottonwood

They have their o line returning. Same running back and full backs. Four returning DB's. One returning d lineman. Same kicker. The miners will tear it up.
bingham vs trinity | 1:44 p.m. June 28, 2009
i feel sorry for bingham.......trinity is like an all poly and black team good luck i heard there one of the best in texas
Go Shara | 5:54 a.m. June 30, 2009
If Shara can learn to recruit like Bobby - then she will be a great success.
re: re: funny... | 1:45 p.m. July 3, 2009
I'll see your altas scholarships over the past 4 years and raise you with timpviews
D1 players over the past two years

Kevin Bills: BYU
mike alisa: BYU
craig bills: (could have had ANY offer in the country) BYU
Xavier suafilo: UCLA (all american)
tui crighton: BYU
levi teo: Navy
Chris Badger: notre dame
Bronson kaufusi: (any offer in the country he wants) BYU
travis van leeuwen: USU

then countless others to go on to other smaller schools like snow and dixie.

just over the past two years timpview has more D1 players than alta and MUCH better players than alta

Keep underestimating Cottonwood. We will see you in the championship.

P.S. I would consider D-1 scholarships to USC, Oklahoma St. & Cal quite a resume.
Alta D1 players | 12:35 p.m. July 17, 2009
Braden Hansen-BYU
Sausan Shakerin-Utah-Mr. Football
Boo Anderson-Utah-Mr. Football
Ryan Rosenvall-Middle Tenn State-5A MVP
Jerod Fehr-Navy

Thats it. Rosenvall is the only QB to ever go D1 might even be their starter this fall!!
To alta and timp fans | 1:23 a.m. July 30, 2009
All of these players don't even play at the schools they went to and didn't make anything of themselves. It doesn't really matter. Rosenvall went to some no name college, of course he will play haha

Who cares where the boys are going to college. Football isn't about individual achievements. THe bottom line is that Alta by far has the best coaching staff in the state. And with all the kids they have to choose from, they are gonna be hard to beat. There offense will put up huge numbers this year. With a solid very consistant QB, a very agile quick RB, best receivers in the state, and one of the best O-lines to come through alta.

I hear there runningback has more heart then any player in the state
