I heard this on the scanner today and it scared me to death. Modern day War of the World reaction. I truly believed it was true until there was no media coverage. Then it dawned on me that it must be a drill!

I was involved as a volunteer in this training. I was there to do the make-up for the "injured" volunteers. As the scenario played out, I found myself as one of the terrorists' hostages. The whole experience ended up being very real and intense. At certain points I was even scared by our own police force. It was that real. The police were able to control the situation hours earlier than was expected. It really built my confidence in those who are sworn to protect and serve our community. Thanks to you all!

My son is Jeff Bailey and I am extremely proud of him. The citizens in your area are very fortunate to have men and women that are trained for such situations. Even in such intense settings, they have your best interest at heart. Take any opportunity to tell a law enforcement officer that you appreciate what they do and the hours they put in to help them become the best they can be.
