He the "Deseret News" journalist did not include the "suspect's names" in the "story".

The first Officer had the right to kill the suspect when he was attacked with a bottle. He is a hero for risking his own life to save the dirtbag. Looks like the entire family is a joy.

How does someone who is charged with aggrevated assault on a police officer bail out of jail within 12 hours?

Cali Cop, check your keyboard. When you type a "ke", it replaces it with a "y" (see "joy" instead of "joke").

Before you offer your "valuable opinion," perhaps you ought to learn how to use a spell check and "type."

Hey me!
It wasnt an opinion it was a fact. Did you catch any names in the article? If so please provide the names so I can stay away from these knuckle heads.

You seem to know spelling and grammer, but you dont know the difference between a "valuable opinion" and fact?

First of all.... | 1:59 p.m. May 18, 2009
1. Let's not call this a FAMILY. I don't know what it is . . . a group of people living together . . . but certainly NOT a FAMILY.

2. Don't give them chance to pay bail AT LEAST for a day or two...a chance to cool down.

3. Please, get the kids to a real FAMILY so there is not another generation of degenerates!

Let's see, if you "identify" the perp you identify the abused "spouse." Oh, and the husband obviously tried to kill himself. Why is it that you want to know who it is so bad? Even people like this deserve a little bit of privacy.

This is what comes of irresponsbile people sitting around drinking. When will they learn that alcohol is not the answer?

Is that as opposed to all the responsible people who sit around drinking? Or is it inherently irresponsible to drink? That's rhetorical folks; alcohol serves no purpose and is the major influence behind the calls most of us officers respond to day in and day out. Imagine how much money could be saved if the last legal drug could be put back under control! To say nothing of how many childrens' lives would be made SO MUCH better.

I understand the dangers of domestic violence when a police person is needed. What is the option for those whose problem isnt physical abuse?

Why was it so easy for them to bail out.

My advice to Louise | 12:07 a.m. May 19, 2009
Re:

"What is the option for those whose problem isn't physical abuse?"

If it is verbal/emotional/spiritual abuse?

Try some of these if one is willing:

Prayer
A good example
A soft answer
Patience
Education
Counseling

Try these if both are willing:

Counseling
Education
Repentance
Forgiveness

And these if even just one is not willing:

Separation.
Divorce.

If God can forgive sins, He certainly can forgive mistakes. Or poor judgement. Or stupidity, etc.

We came here to learn.

It takes two to make a marriage work, but only one to cause the break-up.

VERY interesting ... I wonder WHY the family name is not in this story. I also wonder if it would be printed if they were caucasian. Just a thought.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
