I drive by on the way to the District for a movie every 3 - 4 weeks. (We review them) Each time I pass it I think of how beautiful it is and the perfect location on the hill. This truly is one of the most magnificent temples in the sense of design, location, color, etc.. I feel privileged to see it.

Interesting that South Jordan is the first "city" with 2 temples. Almost every temple bears the name of the city where it is located, and yet neither of the temples in South Jordan bears the city name. I was raised there and was a teenager when the Jordan River Temple was dedicated and always wondered why it was not named the South Jordan Temple. Now I wonder twice as much.

It sure is a beautiful temple I have been watching its progress since it was started. I one night I was looking at the temple and I ran a red light, no one was hurt. I sure is a beautiful beacon on the hill.

looking forward to the open house.

Did you ever think that maybe someone knew that someday there would be two temples in South Jordan and that if the church named the Jordan River temple the South Jordan temple it might be confusing when there were two temples in South Jordan? It is like naming a city park the South Jordan Park when you know that there will be other parks in South Jordan. Someone is a lot wiser than any of us! Makes you wonder about the Mt. Timpanogos temple doesn't it? Will we have another temple in American Fork some day?

SO EXCITED FOR IT TO OPEN!!! I am a youth in this marvelous valley, and am so excited for the temple to be less crowded now that 2 other temples will be open...it will be even less crowded once the Herriman area temple is opened!

I have been watching it go up since it started, and am so excited to tour it on my birthday!

I have a non member friend coming from Denver to visit with me in July - I told her about the Temple openhouse and she is excited to see it. I'm hopeful that they aren't checking tickets too closely so we can get in when she comes.
