Doug you forgot to mention that the NBA orchastrates which teams move on. Does anyone really think the Celtics should have beat the Bulls? Or the Magic? The NBA has it's golden teams and while they may not fix games per se, they definetely give certain teams more breaks than others. If they really wanted the games to be decided by the players they would call all fouls the exact same the whole year. The first play of the first game the same as a last second play of game 7 in the Finals. Then we wouldn't all believe it is rigged a bit.

I'm with you on this. The NBA is a joke, and it has a serious image problem. Players get away with all kinds of fouls at the end of the game and during the playoffs. Some players can take 5 steps on their way to the basket, and others can only take 2. Karl Malone's elbow hits Isiah Thomas in the head, and Malone sits for 4 games. Kobe Bryant hits Rod Artest in the head with his elbow, and he doesn't sit out even 5 minutes of the next game. In one game, if a coach doesn't think the refs called enough fouls against the other team, he makes a big stink and in the next game, all of a sudden the refs call more fouls. What a joke this league is. I can't even watch it anymore. In fact, the last time I watched more than 3 games in any single season was 1998. Hmm. Same year the Jazz were in the Finals. Coincidence?

Robinson isn't whining about anything. Just saying the NBA is out of control. I agree with him. It's not a sports league anymore.
