That's funny that someone who is obsessed with guys who dribble a ball around and throw it in a hoop would be critical of people who admire other types of celebrities. I for one couldn't tell who the name of more than one player on either team, nor would I recognize any of those actors/actresses if I ran into them on the street. Maybe its because I'm uncool, or maybe its because I have a life and don't watch TV all day, regardless of what is on. I'd rather play ball myself than watch a bunch of millionaires do it, and I'd rather ride my mountain bike or go to the beach than watch TV or movies.

It seems like someone is a little jealous. LA has the best fans ever for their sports. Especially the Lakers. It doesn't matter if celebs go or not. Their people just like us and want to go out to enjoy a ball game. What's the big deal? If you don't like it, then don't write on it. Quit whining just because the Lakers are the best team in the league. Besides, it's so obvious Jack is the number one Laker fan because he's been going for over thirty five years. I don't think he goes just because he wants his face shown on a camera ever ten minutes like some people may think. Get your facts straight next time before you write on something you don't know anything about.

Doug Robinson is bitter because the Spazz are getting spanked by the Lake Show.

Hey, Doug -- yes we do too have a Hollywood celeb. His name is Ashton Kutcher and he's right out there on the court in Jazz blue. He plays at the shooting guard position and during these first two playoff games he has lost Trevor Ariza more times than a Dad loses a toddler in a toy store.

haha..Ya but Korver is way more attractive than Ashton!

Doug is spot-on. When I moved to LA from SLC nine years ago, I could not have expected the level of celebrity culture that exists here. I suppose the only critique I would level is to sound more objective; that the showing of celebrity fans simply demonstrates that celebrities have their own idols. It does not diminish nor further the game; it just is. You can't fault the NBA for using what is just another marketing tool for the business, which as thrilling as it is at times, all teams are businesses. I have spoke with at length with many celebrities here, and when you're not a star-struck, blibbering idiot - such as Doug and I, you find some of them to be quite interesting, and completely normal like everyone else (Paris Hilton types notwithstanding), with the same cares, worries, and passions, like basketball.

PS: my big-shot, wealthy brother-in-law should be the number one Laker's fan. You think it's easy living here the last 9 years? Never shy about throwing a jab whenever he can!

I for one enjoy the celebrities. Otherwise the overrated game of basketball would quickly become too boring to bear.

And as far as kissing up to celebrities I'd say that Robinson is one of the best. Let's see, what about Steve Young, Larry Miller, Orrin Hatch, Lavell Edwards, David Archuleta. Aren't you constantly glorifying them and forgetting the rest?!

Robinson, how many times have you picked up your phone if their names weren't displayed on caller ID. Zero???
