kavin keyes, justin campbell, and parker webster, from alta should be top 3 choices for mr baseball this year out of any school in the state.

Let me guess you go to alta? Win a state championship and then maybe you could have one of them be Mr. Baseball..

Any love for Kearns? they just got done beating Bingham, one of the top teams in the state in a tough duel. I know for sure it wasn't a fluke either. Look for them to play like that more consistently and stun the baseball world.

Kearns 1 lucky game and you are in the hunt for a state title. Try again you have a long way to go before you reach a level of top play for 5A baseball.

The Bulldogs are a solid 4A Contender this year there is no question about it. Even with the losses of some of their top pitchers due to school violations they're still dominating the competition. They 10-run ruled Springville the "Top Dog of Region 7" last week and could run away with the Region with a couple more wins this week. 4A you better not sleep on the Bulldogs this year! Rhineer will prove by seasons end that he is one of the best pitchers in the state, and he is only a sophomore!

hey riverton guys, I heard the junior lefty signed with arizona state this last weekend. Is this true? I heard he is one of the best lefty's in state. Why didn't you throw him against us when we faced you in the pre-season? Just wondering.

Yep, Kearns probably got Lucky beating Bingham. Now CW Beating Bingham was not Luck as they are 4A and can beat the 5A powers. 4 State Championships in a row, 1 in 5A and 3 in 4A, going for number 5 this year. Now that is a Baseball Program.

Keyes still makes the same mistakes all sophmores make,Campbell is good but not dominating and Webster is not even the best catcher in region 2.

Keyes is not making the same mistakes at SS as he did last year. Campbell is not dominating yet but at 3-0 and a 0.00 ERA not to bad. Webster catches for Campbell and that is it. Webster goes to 3rd game 2 and 3. Campbell DH's game 2 and plays 2 bag game 3. It will be interesting how they play in Vegas.

This message is to the JD Fan that wrote a comment last week that Emery would never make the top 20 because it takes teams that have good athletes to make that list and that Emery would never make it. Well eat your words JD Fan, Juan Diego dropped off and Emery made it. Maybe you shouldn't run your mouth so fast. And you shouldn't say we just got lucky. We do have good Athletes and 4.0 students also. That is why people get sick of Juan Deigo Fans cause they always think they are better than everyone else. Go Emery, have a great year.

I hope Kearns does turn it around big time. I think it's got to be one of the toughest schools in the state to coach at. But their head coach, Dave Ballard is one of my favorite coaches/people in the world. He was a coach of mine in little league and high school. If anybody can turn that program into a winning program, he can.

Bingham spanked you twice 9-0 and 10-0 and you got them 3-2 on the second game in a double header. Congrats!!!!!

Hey CW fan, You can beat the 5A powers? As long as they don't have FORK in the name. You guys are a power 4A school and one of the top teams in the state, but 2 wins by 1 run each over Bingham and Timpanogos... not exactly dominate. What has it been, like 15-20 years since you beat Bingham? That was a good win, but I am guessing Bingham gets out coached in close games. Just my opinion

Alta is as good as any team in the State, one player deep. They better hope they do not get any injuries. Alta can't afford to lose Campbell as their no. 1 pitcher, Knowles no. 2 or Pappin no. 3. They can't afford to lose Keyes at SS, Pappin at CF, Webster at 3, Snuffer at 2, or Vanhoff in LF. Their batting is solid. Against Hillcrest they won all 3 games by 10 runs in 5 innings. They scored 32 runs and gave up 1 run against Hillcrest. Las Vegas will test them. But they are solid.. 1 player deep.

Me thinks they may be saving him to throw against you in a "tournament" game. He is a talented kid. I would have my doubts about ASU signing him though. Just my opionion.

West Jordan whooped on Davis from the first to the seventh inning yesterday yet Davis is ranked and WJ isn't.. No love for the jags.

To go along with what you are saying. I think West Jordan has one of the best if not THE best defense in the state. Something like 3 errors in their first eight games. wow!

I believe they are not ranked because they lost to both Pine View and Snow Canyon. They even had 19 strikeouts (out of 21 outs allowed) against SC. Maybe they'll get hot later on, but sorry, no rankings yet.

How many wins have those almost flawless defensive wins got you????
