Actually, Amy is not the first since 1997. Susan Taylor won the women's 1500 at Duke in 2000. That same year Tara Rohtinsky won the women's 10,000 at Duke. These were outdoor events but you did not specify in your article if you were addressing indoors or outdoors and they are both track.

Haha. None of those running pictures are actually of Amy. They are of Angela Wagner. Also a great runner, but definitely not Amy.

The pictures are definately of Amy. She is my niece, so I would know. Angela Wagner is also blond and cute, but the pictures are of Amy.
