Why is it Mormon art? Why isn't it, "art"?

self-centeredness?
Yeah | 10:15 a.m. March 21, 2009
It couldn't be that it's a gallery centered around Mormon theology.... hmmm... guess some things just make too much sense why why why

Perhaps as they peruse through the artists they could find one who makes an accurate rendition of Jesus Christ. One only has to look at the location and surrounding of his appearances to be aware that he is in no way, and has been in no way, European. But, yes, since he is your 'saviour' he can look like anyone.. or, for that matter.. anything.

Why, Why, Why: You are really pathetic. Just can't stand to see anything without trying to denegrate it. Really sad.

Is that a painting of Dan Fogelberg hanging out with children in the bushes?

I wish there were better photographs with this story.

told me that unless you are a well known artist in Utah or from a foreign country, you can forget about entering the competition...

To Anonymous,

Yes, that is Dan Fogelberg in his early years. He died a few years ago, but his songs suggest that he will come back and usher in a glorious time of peace where adults and children will get along.

Everyone knows that painting is not Jesus. Jesus was Jewish and did not look like a caucasian.

Thank you for pointing this fact out to the rest of us.

I don't like the painting on here. It is too weird.

LDS, but not a huge LDS art fan | 2:55 a.m. March 22, 2009
sorry. It's just not as inspiring as some other stuff out there for myself.

I have seen worse pictures of Christ out there. If you have ever traveled outside of the U.S. you would realize that this work is truly representative of the art they would create in other countries.
