What a truly great message for all of us...these are time when the "pros show up." I will share this with my family and my co-workers.

Its easy to get worried or frustrated or affected by adversity directly or indirectly. But, this message is perfect for all of us. Find a new skill, learn a way to be better, work through adversity, don't let fear paralyze you. Don't take anything for granted. Just work every day to make a difference.

It's time for every day "pros" to step up to the task and make a difference. That's what makes America great - each of us working every day to make a difference.

Everybody thinks they are an economist.

This was a motivational speech, for which Young is well qualified to deliver. It was not, as the headline implies, a presentation on the economy, on which I would question his expertise. That being said, his counsel is good.

Young made great parallels from football to the economy. it was a speech that you can easily pss along to a co-worker or even a family member. I liked how he spoke so highly of Utah. You don't to many famous people doing that these days.
liked it... | 7:10 p.m. March 11, 2009
I went to this conference and I really appreciated Young's analysis of football and the economy. I think we all could use a boost these days. I think the term "muddying through" is perfect. Right now our economy is a big muddy mess. He made a lot of great points about both the economy and real life.

I also agree with Junkie in that it's nice to hear "famous people" talk positive about Utah. Utah has lots of great things to offer.

I especially liked Steve's wife's political philosophy!

Way to go Steve!
