Utah Jazz: Okur sets pace over Indiana

In his short (compared to the time he's actually played) stint with us now what's his percentage of games missed due to being an "injured" whiner? I saw Karl at a game last month and it brought back memories of tantrum after tantrum, but at least he played and lived up to earning his money.
Larry was always vocal about Karl (I think because he really had personal feelings for Karl), but has remained silent on Booz. Someone needs to put this overrated, weak defending, big game choking, playoff vacationing, unappreciative, diva in his place.
Give Millsap Boozers $$$$$ next year and offer Booz the rookie minimum (ha ha) or let him go to Europe. That's a warning to all other NBA teams.
As my Mom always has told me, "Stay away from the Booz!"
Sincerely,
Utah Jazz Fans who should right now be talking about Memo, not Booz.
Williams 3-point shot at the end was incredible. He is such a core for this teams focus! We works so hard to make these plays happen. And Okur is the bomb. AK is superb! Lets just say it - the whole team steps up and plays their heart out. They are amazing to watch. There is such a connection with the teamates that I just don't see in the other teams.
Fact is, with or without Boozer, they are a great team. But if we look back on the injuries for the year, its not just with or without Boozer. We pull through no matter who is in street clothes that night. They all play hard and they all can be counted on. I'm just glad that they CAN count on each other for that. I can't imagine the Lakers making it without Kobe. Yes, he's great (even though I hate him) but how much backbone do they have if he suffers a major injury! Difference - The Jass know there is no I in TEAM!
Jazz Rock!!
Horny put up 45 with the Jazz
His high was 53
This style of play, ie. your Center bombing 3's/playing perimeter, will not get you too far in the playoffs either. Last night we had little or no post game which would have killed us in a playoff circumstance.
Like I said, nice game but it was a mirage that does not lend itself to sustainable reality.
Like it or not, we have little or no post presence without Booz. I hate the fact that what I just said is true because he plays defense like water through a screen door.
All that said, I hope we can get everyone healthy and back on the floor together post all-star break to see what kind of a run we can make because the reality is that this team as we know it will be missing 1 or maybe even 2 big pieces. Either Memo/Booz/AK is gone.
Each one brings something valuable and some more than others.
Decision time is coming soon!!
Again, please forgive me. I'll stop being silly.
Way to go, CJ buddy!
Booz plays in the post and Memo avoids. Usually Centers have to play down low to some significant degree.
If we get rid of Booz, who is our low post threat that requires a double-team inside so that Okur gets open all the time on the perimeter?
If we let Okur go, who pulls the opposing teams big-man/Center out to the perimeter so the too short Boozer can operate in the post?
Inquiring minds want to know.
This team has a serious dilemma this offseason. These two go well together but neither one may be near as good when/if the other has to leave due to salary cap restraints.
I think not.
Not much complementing going on last night.
