Finally some RSL news!!! This news drought that we call the off season is going on forever. Please bring more stories to us.

I am interested to see what the team does with Deuchar. Do they buy out his contract or do they bring in someone who can feed the ball to his head? I am up for giving him another year.

here's what you do with Deuchar: keep him. Give him another chance, he earned that with his spirited play in the last 3 minutes (yes that's all he got) of the Western Conf. Final. That header is two inches lower and in, this isn't even a discussion...RSL coaches/Lagerway don't be so fickle. He's had a full offseason, he's married now, he will always be a fan favorite, and with Espy gone, we'll need him. So get a winger and keep Deuchar and sit back and watch the goals come.

I think it's stupid to get rid of Espindola and Deuchar! Unless they are clearing salary cap space for Henrik Larsson. But since that is about as likely as another virgin birth. As much as I like Espindola, Keep Deuchar. He's had a year to adjust and get used to the team, plus he's healthy now. So put him up front with Movsisyan. He'll be a much better strike partner than Cleetus. GO RSL!!!

It seemed to me that Kenny and Espy were developing some good chemistry before the backflip and the arrival of Mathis. Everyone that writes in seems to mirror this idea. Are we all missing something? What are the coaches seeing that the general fan is not that makes the coaches want to show these guys the door while everyone else can't wait to see these two on the field together again?

I think they would have loved to extend Espy's contract. They have exhausted most of their funds by securing Morales and Olave (great choices), I think they hope to keep Espy and a Reduced Rate.

Deuchar....I'm still on the fence. If you are a forward..you have got to put the ball in the net.

Deuchar is good in the air.

Now with real grass underfoot at the new stadium he will be less afraid to throw his body around for fear of injury on the concrete at RES (cf that backflip).

The upside of keeping an integrated, settled Dr Goal in a conducive environment is massive.

Shame RSL can't trade Beckerman for Beckham to put the ball on his head - RSL now needs to develop combinations.
