Law-abiding traveler is always getting detained

Here's a crazy idea--instead of requiring identification to fly, the law should PROHIBIT it. That's right, REQUIRE all travel to be anonymous.

Under such a system, screeners would have to treat people equally (until they could discern their skin color) and would not be wasting their time giving extra attention to the John Smiths of the world. And if Osama Bin Laden gets to take a cheap flight to Miami without apprehension, so be it--he's no threat to the plane if he's been screened like everybody else.

Do it for security. (Getting a little privacy back would just be gravy.)

If you think that is bad; | 7:46 p.m. Jan. 4, 2009
Take two hispanic males and drive from Salt Lake To Las Vegas.

You lay down in the back seat so no one can see you.

The odds are that you will be stopped for some made up reason and the highwaypatrol trooper will ask to search your car.

What is even worse if you are Islamic and traveling by air. Everyone is suspicious of you.
