The Cougars must win tonight, because when Wake comes to town, the home winning streak is over.

Quit telling us BYU fans to "get over it" and go support your team (probably Utah.) They need it.

Go Cougars! On to victory against Wake Forest!

I'm livin' on "TULSA TIME"! Brigham Young will beat Tulsa tonight and then give Wake Forest all they can handle Saturday Night! S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y night's all-right! CBS Sports will carry the game. Watch for me behind the BYU bench. It's time for some Suds.....

Wake Forest is going to experience what Pittsburg did when they were riding the huge national wave of expectations. They came in as the Beast of the East with knuckleheads dissing the Cougs. They left humiliated and not so arrogant.

GET OVER IT IS RIGHT. ALL YOU BYU fans just whine whine whine. it get's so so old. stop complaining and let your BYU TEAM step it up. I will tell you what.. all these games would be alot different if plaisted were still on the team.
RR | 10:40 a.m. Dec. 30, 2008
Wake has barely played anyone. They beat a great Baylor team, but Baylor has played few great teams. BYU manhandles great conference teams like UNLV and SDSU at home. Wake won't know what hit them. You don't have the nation's longest streak for nothing, especially with some great conference teams coming to play. They aren't the #6 team in the nation. BYU will play them tough and very well.
Plaisted | 11:49 a.m. Dec. 30, 2008
Yeah, we would have lossed a couple more games if Plaisted were on the team. Who needs him when you have guards like Jimmer and Jackson?

I just love the Yutes and I love hop on BYU message boards

That's funny...... Ute fans did the same when they lost to Utah St. It gets old. Stop complaining and tell your UTAH TEAM to keep stepping it up like they did against Southwest Baptist, Idaho State and Utah State.
Utes... | 3:02 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008
need to get off this board and talk about their own team. Wait, do the Utes have a men's basketball team this year or did they just field two women's teams?

Yes....all you crackpots/Utah Offictionados stay on your own team article comments....you are boring/classless. BYU does need a little better execution of their game strategy at the end...and close out games. That was a travesty to give away that Arizona State game, and then put it in the hands of the officials, who actually blew the review of the last second shot. The ball was out of the players' hand...the camera angle was bad, but if you slowed down the play, it was a good shot. The decision against the Cougars was a crock/pathetic. The Cougars must push the ball better and crash the lane/dish off or draw the foul. The name of the game is to make the inside opposition players play defense/get them in foul trouble. Arizona State was/is not a top 25 ranked team. I give credit to Utah for playing some legitimate ranked team(s) as in Oklahoma. Both BYU/Utah have too many cupcake teams on sports schedules. It is a major issue in all major collegiate sports. I do think the 'Y' has a good shot at the MWC title again, but they have a weakness up front/team speed in general. Utah has a lot more/work/to/do/by/far. Go/Cougars!!!!!

Hey 'Lossed' - did you mean Lost?
Re: wah wah wah wah | 3:56 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008
From someone who is from out of state and enjoys reading articles about Utah's teams, it really get old to hear the trite comments from childish posters. Grow up or go away!
Cougars... | 4:03 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008
WAAAAAAy more BYU fans talking about Utah fans on here than the other way around. Why is that? I thought this was an article on BYU basketball and that the boards would discuss the BYU basketball team, not Utah fans. Get over yourselves.

Anywho, this BYU team will get tested to see how good they are (meaning how far they POTENTIALLY could go in March) when they play Wake.

Go Golden Hurricanes! Tulsa 72 BYU 63
Re:Cougars... | 5:31 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008
If the article was on the BYU basketball team and discussing the team on the boards, why does the majority of your post talk about the fans instead of the team? Post your meaningless comments somewhere else. Gotta love yewt trolls.
BYU Needs to lose | 6:14 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008
Byu needs to lose every game in every sport to shut the fans up. BYU the teams, university, religion, WHO CARES. You think anyone really cares about what you think. They don't get out of the bubble and leave the herd
hey original | 7:47 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008
what angle of the camera did you have? the officials got it right. even espn.com said it. they are the law.

Dear BYU Needs to lose,

People who read stories that talk about BYU sports care about their team, the university, and their religion. They are not out there to convince you or others of your ilk to care about BYU. So, please, let us converse among ourselves without your comments. If, on the other hand, you find us making inappropriate comments following a story about a team you support then please feel free to spew your diatribe ad nauseum.
Go Cougars! | 8:16 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008
Re: BYU Needs to lose - Wow... someone has a chip on their shoulder.

Go Cougars! Way to beat Tulsa and now back to the Marriott Center to take on Wake Forest
Good time to be a BYU fan | 9:59 p.m. Dec. 30, 2008
hey original,

The camera angle I saw throughout the entire ASU game showed that the officials got a lot of calls wrong. Overturn even one of those and the outcome is different. BYU played well enough that they should have won. Any objective fan knows it. They outplayed ASU. I can live being robbed of that win. It would have been more disappointing had BYU been less deserving; I'm assuming you also know that, but maybe that's more credit than you deserve.

Harden was an all-American in that game solely because he hit more free throws than BYU's whole team even took. Props to him for initiating illegal contact, knowing it wouldn't be called on him, but rather on his opponent. And yet ASU still needed a tenth of a second to beat the Cougs by one point. Wow!

Here's a pop quiz: what is the total amount of points BYU has lost by in this entire season? Does one point really give BYU fans reason to despair. Give me a break! I guess it's fun to get BYU fans riled up, but at the expense of getting your stupidity handed to you by facts. I don't get that!
re good time | 12:58 p.m. Dec. 31, 2008
you really took a while to write your essay eh? dont talk about being robbed. with replays it is easier to get it right and i believe as an objective fan, the stripes got it right. i dont care about byu or asu, i cheer for the true blue up north (tongue in cheek). i dont complain that byu beat the aggies because of some ticky tack foul. we lost fair and square and we could talk about the spectrum or the marriott center and all this garbage. fact is, byu has a good team that didnt do enough to be a great team. if you are up by 10 with only 9 minutes to play and you dont score at the end of the game for nearly 4 minutes, i guess you could blame the refs but that is just getting your stupidity handed to you by facts. things go your way some times, other times they dont. this time it didnt. so move on, see if you can even hang with wake on saturday.
