Hey Dick Harmon... | 3:34 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
If you see Robert Anae today, tell him to RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN the Football! If he doesn't learn anything from last games debacle against Utah when we averaged 7 yards per carry, and over 200 yards, then he'll never learn. Please Anae Run the FOOSBALL!!!!!
Wildcat Insider | 3:47 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
BYU bball team looks good. Reminds me of those good Arizona Wildcat teams under Lute Olson. Great ball movement, accurate shooting, and intelligent decion making. Should be a great year for BYU bball.

I predict the Y winning 42-10 over the weak UA team from the Weak/PAC 10 conference

Re: Matt | 4:02 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
BYU could very easily score 42...but to think that D will only give up 10 on an O that averages 37, making their hay with underneath passes, is just a little too optimistic for my tastes.

Can someone update me of what channel to watch this game on Direct TV. Thanks.

I am a UTAH UTES man and I hope BYU can pull this out. 2 MWC bowlfootball games and hopefully 2 wins

I am watching the Utes Basketball game and I can not believe what I am seeing. I think we need a coach change. We have more talent than many teams in the MWC and look who we are losing too.

The byu basketball got messed by the refs and I am not talking about the last play of the game. They gave Harden every call. BYU bball has a pretty good team.
BYU is BAD | 6:38 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Enough said
Re: BYU is BAD | 6:43 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Amen. I'm a BYU alumni and root for the cougars to do well, but boy they look bad. Really bad. The defense isn't going to stop them, and the offense isn't going to be able to score consistently (if at all). This has blow out written all over it.
casual fan | 6:51 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
What game?
MiP | 7:02 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
The game is also on ESPN 360 (Online) if your internet provider is AT&T...

Right now it's 7-0, and Arizona is moving the ball well, but BYU has enough firepower that it is not time to panic.
Max Hall | 7:01 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Needs to go to the NFL so BYU can get a better QB to play next year. He is Bad!!
10-2 | 7:28 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
BYU is the worst 10-2 team in the nation...garbage Arizona is proving that right now...another 10-2 team (TCU) proved that they are bad...and 12-0 slaughtered them...

Their best win of the year was at Air Force...awesome...
Win or Lose BYU is showing | 7:31 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
why they are a 2nd tier football team, they have no discipline and really probably are way better than UofA except they are mental midgets:)

Focus Cougarettes.
wer | 7:41 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
In all the games I have ever watched, in person or on TV, I can not remember any team (HS, college, JV, pro) where a team had three straight five yard penalties. This debacle was preceded by a dropped TD pass and followed by a missed field goal.

They may yet win the game, but this is symptomatic of a team that is not mentally prepared to play.

On yes, only one score in four quarters of play in the Las Vegas bowl over two games. If someone doesn't take emotional charge soon, it will be the only score in six quarters.
BYU Aggies | 7:42 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
BYU looks almost as bad as the USU aggies. 3 penalties in a row, dropped pass, missed field goal. These sequences only happen in Aggie football. Win or lose BYU is terrible and a poor rep of the MWC.

BYU who | 7:54 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Slow, hard to watch, no leader, no excitement, to casual, help....off to watch the Jazz game.

I am a BYU fan and I can honestly say this is a very overrated 10-2 team. Good thing they played all those easy teams this year, otherwise they would be 6-6.

Can't wait to hear from my good friends how the refs beat BYU.

Hard to watch
yikes | 7:55 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
That is all I have to say. Glad I did not go to this game. It is so painful to watch
POOR MWC representation | 8:02 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
How embarrasing is this performance?
About as embarrasing as Tavernari dropping the four letter word after the basketball team lost today when the time was clearly gone.

BYU low class in loss and win. But when they win you will certainly hear about, we still hear about 1983 or 84':)

BYU is awful reps of the church, quit swearing Tavernari you weak minded fool!!!!
Very ugly game | 8:27 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
This is an tough game to watch. Both Arizona and BYU are playing very bad, and are badly coached. Ugly is an understatement. Embarrassing is another word that comes to mind.
on the up side... | 8:42 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
At least Maxi hasn't thrown int's yet. But there's still one quarter to make up for that ha ha
can we say | 8:52 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
MASSIVE FAIL! Nice kick Sorenson ha ha
stutah | 8:52 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
BYU defensive backs are weaker than circus lemonade. Where is the emotion of this team? Go ahead and lay down as Collie seans to be the only one to give a rip!
Bob in line | 8:52 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
I have made excuses for BYU all season. They are mediocre at best with a coaching staff more in tune with giving fortune 500 motivation speeches then coaching a football team.

They are making the same mistakes, same calls, etc as they have all season. Virtually no adjustments. Nothing. This is like the last few years of Norm Chows stay at BYU. Him moving on really lit a fire under his seat.

And this was the year to do well. Next year they have almost an entire new offensive line. Defense looks to be another over achieving lot struggling to make ends meat.

For starters, why will Mendenhall not do anything more than rush 3? Sometimes 4. Have they put pressure on any team this year with a 3 man rush? Arizona's quarterback is very average and they are making him look like Tom Brady.

Normally you say there is always next year. I don't know how anyone can say that. We peaked and it wasn't that high.

I hope Utah can hang tough with Alabama. More so, TCU can whip Boise State.
Fred Loeper | 8:54 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
The season ended after we beat UCLA. We thought all we had to do was show up. But the resentment of yet ANOTHER Las Vegas bowl vs a hyped up and hungry U of A team will spell downfall for the Cougars. 24-14 at the moment. One more thing. Please, please,PLEASE do NOT rank us!!!

Stop the firesides and concentrate on a game plan. Bronco has to go.
Arizona's Wearing Red | 9:14 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
That is hilarious. And again, Max Hall is struggling seeing those red jerseys. Great decision Stoops by going all red.
Anonymous | 9:18 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
The one bright spot in this game is this: Max Hall has no more games this season to GIVE AWAY!
BYU is awful!!!! | 9:23 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Utah could do worse against Alabama but then again it is Alabama. I have never seen a BYU team underperform like this one. I say that because the expectations were so great and this BYU team is really so poor. Collie is slow. Hall can't handle an ounce of pressure. BYU is sooooooo slow!!!

What an embarrasment to the MWC!!!
Anonymous | 9:22 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Giving up already, Dick? Still a lot of game left....
montanacutter2 | 9:24 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Max Hall is the most over rated QB in the country. BYU needs to look during the off season and find a QB that can play a full game without making turn overs.
One Bright Spot | 9:27 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
As bad as they look tonight, this isn't like a Crowton season. 10-3 isn't too bad. It would have been nice to see a different outcome, but considering where BYU was 4 years ago, I'll take a 3 loss season.
wow how fast they fall | 9:28 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
BYU fans are so funny, last night they were talking so much trash, now they are crying and making excuses, Boy do I love it, waah waah waah I love it
Turn out the lights | 9:28 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
the party's over.
BYU Rick | 9:28 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
How bad is this team?

And it all starts with the coaching staff. We DO NOT have coaches able to coach at this level.

They certainly are playoing as if they only had 6 practices--what was Bronco thinking?

This program needs to focus on what they are paid for - playing football and leave the other stuff alone until they have figured out what it takes to be a top 25 team.

show em how is done | 9:29 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Utes....
Funny | 9:34 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
It's funny... Looking back over the past few days, all I've been hearing is how Utah is going to get rolled and that BYU will be the ones representing the power of the MWC... What happened war kittens? Is it because they're wearing red? Are you just as slow as I've been saying all along? What is it?
16-6 | 9:31 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
I started watching the game at the 8:23 in the 3rd quarter and from that point until the score was 31-14 the run to pass ration for BYU was 16-6. That means that 72.7% of the plays were pass plays. After that I quit counting because they are down by a lot with not much clock so you need to pass but when you are only down 3 and 10 points with a full quarter left there is no need to pass that much. You should never pass that much to begin with. Anae is a terrible play caller. Get him off the sideline!!!!
What do you expect | 9:35 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
when on your list of the 5 most important things for the team, football is 5th.
wow | 9:36 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
An onside kick... At least they're going to try to keep it respectable. What an embarassment. Good job BOOgars.
Jimmy | 9:39 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
I heard the fireside last night was GREAT!!!!!
Joe | 9:38 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
oops. Just missed the field goal. What a way to go out. Lame.
FG | 9:38 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
Well, at least the BYU FG kickers are accurate tonight.

Cougar fans, I told you that you should have hired a plumber to help you with your toilet bowl... You should have listened to me...
uteowl | 9:45 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008
I too found Arizona's choice of uniform color interesting. And it seems to have worked.

I have mixed feelings about this game. I usually love it when the TDS looses, but I did want to see MWC win all its bowl games and really thought that the TDS would win this one the way they lost it. Eeeps, are loosing it. They are only down by 10 with less than a minute.
