Its not real Football.

Its not even Fake Futbol.

Its Arena futbol, borrowing stadiums and paying too much rent.

Who cares if it isnt real football. It was something to tide some us over til August, while having a local team to cheer for. Maybe the majority will forget it, but I know I wont. The AFL has carved out a nice little niche, and some of the big boys could learn from this little league. Things like mandatory autograph sessions after EVERY game, win or lose. I have been to many games, and the players sign everything put it front of them, alot even stay after the mandatory time is up to make sure everyone gets something. It made the fans feel like they knew the players more than the other higher paid athletes. I know I'll miss taking my 7 year old.

Come on now. You are not a football fan for saying that. I watched AFL on TV and it looked like real football to me. Balls were flying and people were hitting and touchdowns were scored. What else do you need? It also gave some good football players an opportunity to keep playing the game. Here's wishing the AFL well. Much success in 2010.
