GREAT article. too bad we cannot get an NHL franchise in Salt Lake and div. 1 ncaa hockey teams at BYU and UVU.

It would be nice to have an NHL team, but the Grizzlies can only pull about 4,000 people to their games, and that's with tickets as low as $10.

Plus, the ESA is a terrible arena for hockey. I remember sitting in the cheap seats at Golden Eagles games and not being able to see the goal below me.

Seriously...did they just cut and paste that guys head, and put it on that little body?

Its no wonder he didnt make the big time.

Good to see some coverage in the DN for another local team. It's a rarity that we see grizz coverage.

The NHL preseason game pulled a lot of people in. The Grizzlies being in the ECHL doesn't help. The team is constantly shorthanded after the Islanders have their way with the roster. The owners really dropped the ball moving the team to a lower league. Not to mention the team get almost no media or promotional coverage. This is the first time in many years I have even seen a TV ad for them.
