So its okay if a mom leaves her child "sleeping on the other side of the world" if she is a skeleton racer?

Great article on Noelle. She may be one of the best sliders in the world and a fierce competitor, but she is also one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. Good luck racing!

Is she suppose to give up on her dreams if she has a child? How is that a double standard?

Great job Noelle! The members of the old school CODP are behind you all the way!

I suppose it was "okay" for Joseph Smith to call Heber C. Kimball to leave his family, including little children, alone while he traveled to England to preach the gospel. God bless Noelle's husband and family for nurturing little Lacee, allowing her mother to pursue her dream.

Noelle is one of the nicest and most caring people you would ever meet. If you know her, you know how hard it was for her to leave her daughter and husband to chase her dream. As another member of the old school CODP I just wanted to wish you luck!

After becoming a mom, it is much harder to chase your dreams. I admire her very much for still doing so. It is a great example for her little girl to follow. Good luck Noelle!

I had the opportunity to compete against Noelle in track and field when we were in High School and then again in college. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met and she was so fun to compete against.
I am so happy for her accomplishments as a mom and an athlete.

Go Noelle! Keep up the good work!

Best Wishes | 10:04 a.m. Dec. 1, 2008
How can anyone judge another without knowing all of the issues and circumstances that go into a decision? I am certain her daughter is being well cared for and loved by family. Good Luck Noelle! I am sure your decision has been very difficult, but I am convinced you know it is the right one. Best Wishes.

Frankly, my dear... | 10:35 a.m. Dec. 1, 2008
It's nobody's business, except Noelle and her husband, how they choose to live their lives -- including the pursuit of an Olympic medal and how they raise their family. Moms deserve to chase their dreams too. It does seem harder for them and the health, happiness, and safety of their children should be top priority. But dads are wonderful, important, caregivers. If this is their family dream, good luck and best wishes!!

Great job Noelle. I have had the opportunity to be around her for a few years. She is a great example to everyong. She know how to deal with stress as a student athlete and a world class athlete at the same time. Noelle can make this a great thing for her and her family. She has a great husband that will make everything ok. Keep up the great work and all of UVU track is cheering for you.
