BYU's offense a worry | 10:35 a.m. Oct. 16, 2008
I know it seems strange to be worried about BYU's offense when it ranks in the top 20 in most categories. But with every skill player back (Fui's stepped up game makes the starting FB loss a wash), a seasoned QB, and probably one of the top two or three offensive lines in the country - they are not playing to their potential. They are playing about as well as they were last season with brand new players in many key positions. The defense is playing above their potential with only three returning starters but, particularly against an overall weak first six opponents, BYU is not where it should be offensively. The UCLA game showed they have the potential to be absolutely dominant. But I would argue that, in every game so far outside of UCLA and probably Wyoming, BYU has not performed offensively to the level they should have given their talent and experience. And the next six games, minus SDSU, will all be tougher than the first six.

If that's all your worried, about, then relax. BYU is one of the best teams in the nation.

They will win it out.

The Wildcats are for real. I have watched all their games this season, and they are getting stronger with each passing week. The rings are not on the finger yet (an adage made famous by BYU coeds) but they certainly have what it takes to go deep into the I-AA playoffs.

This article was dead on that the fans need to get out and watch this team. After years of mediocre results at WSU this is a team that is not only successful but extremely exciting to watch.

Go Cats!!!

BYU is the best in the nation...they just got done getting thumped by a good TCU team, but will rebound to make the BCS national championship game, because they will beat Air Force and Utah on the road...they have been living right on and off the field...

Great point. How dare those Cougars vote themselves into the top 10 rankings. What was that? Oh, you mean they did not vote themselves there? You're saying that the voting is done by media and coaches nationwide? Hmmmm. Well, they must all be Mormon, because there's no way the national people would put BYU up that high.

Unranked teams don't play in national champiopships dude...

BYU will lose 2 more games.

BYU will be in the las vegas bowl IF they are lucky, likely they'll finish 3rd and play in the blue turf bowl.

They were dumb to plan on going 12-0, they shoulda made the goal to win the MWC title. Getting 3rd doesn't achieve either goal.
