I think the comment about the team's effort for Ellinger is a great indicator as to why he is no longer coach. When the players have given up on the coach it's time to make a change either way.

John was probably the worst choice of coach this team could have made when we started. Time to get back at him for not getting into the playoffs. What better way to do it then beat him to make it in!

of course he did'nt like to assist Kreis. Kreis had more career goals than Cunningham did. Cunningham was'nt about to help him increase that stat, and make it that much harder to catch Kreis in career goals scored.

Ellinger was a bad choice from day one. Look at his first choice of business. Draft Nik Besagno first overall and pass on Brad Guzan and Sasha Klejcsten. Way to go! That worked out real well for us. Plus Nikky is costing us about 125K a year in salary!

umm i bet none of u could coach for a professional team. who honestly says that it's time to get him back? don't get mad at the coach. i have lived in utah for 18 years of my life and i still hope Real loses. and for Nik..yea too bad he got injured for over a year. Ellinger has developed amazing players such as Landon. Ellinger has had many years of experience and knows what to look for in players.

John Ellinger is a talented coach and great at developing young talent. He may not be right for the adult game but he has an amazing record to stand on. Too bad it didn't work out for him here.
