It seems awfully difficult to leave Travis Hansen, Keena Young, Britton Johnsen off this team and what about the sharp shooter from Utah from three or four years ago and, and, and.... I'm just not sure Josh Davis, Marcus Bailey are better than any of the four mentioned above!

Keena Young had one above average season, his last. Cummard, on the other hand, made an impact from the start (as a frosh). Hansen was before my time.

to all the players who were honored.
It's nice to see UNLV receive a little basketball love, since they're so pathetic in football.

Who are these guys? I'll admit, I don't follow MWC basketball religiously, but I do follow it and I don't know who half these guys are.

Has Andre Miller been in the NBA for ten years already? Time flies....
What about Jaffa? He hasn't done anything in the NBA but was definately a dominant college player.

I don't have too much argument with the players picked, although I think Ruben Douglas is a bit of a stretch. I think there are several players with a better MWC profile then douglas.
I suspect that two of the best MWC players, Kenny Thomas & Shawn Marion were not included since they only played in the first year of the conference.
Those suggesting that Keena Young should be included instead of Marcus Bailey or Josh Davis must never have seen a game outside the Marriott Center. Britton Johnson, possibly, Travis Hansen or Keena Young, no.
Jaffa was a brute, and he was effective, but he had a bad reputation as a dirty player and lacked the respect of many players and coaches.

Definitely should have been included. Better than just about everybody on the list including cummard.
Hello? | 9:58 p.m. Oct. 14, 2008
Nick Jacobsen. Cummard is the most overrated player at BYU ever.

Marcus Bailey and Josh Davis.....really? What the? Whos i voting here? I mean you leave off Travis Hansen, Britton Johnsen and Rafael Araujo for Marcus and Josh from Wyoming....Wyoming never won anything and those 2 players were average......redo the vote please....

Re: Anonymous:
You show your lack of basketball knowledge. If you would actually venture out of Provo, you would know that Bailey and Davis led Wyoming to back to back Conference titles in 2001, 2002 and you guessed it, a tourney win over Gonzaga in 2002, of which your players listed were unable to accomplish.

It truly is hard to believe that Andre Miller has been gone from Utah this long. The Mountain West has had decent players, but outside of Bogut there has not been a dominant player. By dominant, I simply mean someone who changed the game when they were on the court. I don't mean that philosophical, but teams had to adjust to the mop headed freak. From Bogut there is a lot of drop-off. It would be interesting to see how many players were drafted in the first and second rounds SINCE the MWC was formed. This does not signify how great a college player they were, but it does help.

I just realized how long it's been since the Utah basketball glory days of Van Horn, Miller, Doleac, Mottola, Bogut and ...... wait - it kind of ended there. Will Majerus please come back? We need a coach who can coach. We need a coach who can recruit. We need a REAL coach.
And who the hell is cummard? I've never heard of him.
