Obama wouldn't be where he is today without those who voted for Bush. Thanks!

Don't Panic. Mac IS Back and he never left in the first place, and is going to The White House, no matter what liberal poll's say. As a non member of the Panic Brigade PC Thought Police liberal drive by news media, I'm NOT guilty as heck of panicking. I'm a dignosed panic-disorder case with anger-management issues and low frustration tolerance. So this is written to myself as to anyone else. There's a lot of anger and frustration as it seems that a candidate who would be disqualified from holding office for a variety of reasons is winning, and we can't seem to make traction. But bear in mind McCain swung ten points when he picked Palin as Veep. Obama swung 10-12 points when the economic catastrophe in which he had a starring role broke through to dominate the public's mood. It looks bad now. It also looked bad before the convention. One never knows when the next breakthrough event will occur until Nov. 4th., when Sarah and McCain will win. But when they do occur, they can swing 10 or 15 points in a matter of days. McCain and Sarah THE BIG WINNERS!. "GIT-R-DONE!"

If Obamacon Is Really So Far Ahead, Why Does ACORN Have to Cheat ?. Democrat Strategists See Landslide in the Making." A couple of Democrat strategerists, Doug Schoen and Democrat strategerists Paul Maslin, "It's going to be a landslide." The only thing that can stop the Obama landslide is a terrorist attack, and they say that the economic tsunami has done for Obama what he could not do for himself, and that's pull himself across the finish line. But we found a quote from Obama himself in a speech that he gave to ACORN in November of 2007. In that speech, he said, "I've been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work." So he's running for the hills from Bill Ayers. He's running for the hills now from ACORN. He's running for the hills from a lot of things that are occurring in the campaign.

WE don't believe liberal poll's | 1:19 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
The Obamacon news media are well aware of Obama's Achilles' heel, his great vulnerability, the doubts about him that still exist in the public mind. They lie alot even in the poll's to. If Sarah Palin were a liberal Democrat touting the same achievements, she would have achieved sainthood by now in the pages of the New York Times and in the polls to. They "wet-themself" everytime they hear her name, and don't know how to handle her, plus are scares to death she'll be our next President. ALL TRUE Conservatives know by now that the dominant liberal media is not just out to criticize Gov. Sarah Palin. They are on a drive to destroy her. The media have learned their lesson. They generally tolerated the rise of Ronald Reagan. They didn't take him that seriously. After two decades of rampant liberalism, the Left still controlled Congress most of the time, along with the courts and local legislatures. The teachers' unions kept a firm grip on the kids. Judges ruled for criminals and against business. Big city newspapers backed the Democrat Party. In other words, liberals still controlled all of America but NOT the White House.

Obama's Magic Poll - Presto, change-o! - And now, America, we introduce the Great Obama! The world's most gifted political magician! A thing of wonder. A thing of awe. Just watch him defy politics, economics, even gravity! (And hold your applause until the end, please.) To kick off our show tonight, Mr. Obama will give 95% of American working families a tax cut, even though 40% of Americans today don't pay income taxes! How can our star enact such mathemagic? How can he cut zero? Abracadabra! It's called a refundable tax credit. It involves the federal government taking money from those who do pay taxes, and writing checks to those who don't. Yes, yes, in the real world this is known as welfare, but please try not to ruin the show, his polls are telling another lie to you so you give up and don't vote November 4th for Sarah and McCain. WE GOT NEWS FOR THEM, 87% of America will vote for that REAL TEAM. Not 0-bamacon. That's for sure.
Better than any poll here | 1:39 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Congress was front and center in the national news last week and the American people were far from impressed. If they could vote to keep or replace the entire Congress, 59% of voters would like to throw them all out and start over again. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 17% would vote to keep the current liberal legislators in office. Forty-nine percent 49% of all voters believe Members of Congress are paid too much while just 5% believe they are paid too little. Thirty-seven percent say Congressional pay is about right. While unhappiness with Congress cuts across partisan and demographic lines, Democrats are a bit less unhappy than other voters. Seventy-four percent 74% of Republicans would vote to throw out the entire Congress as would 62% of unaffiliated voters. Only 43% of Democrats go along. Still, just 25% of those in Barack Obama’s party would vote to keep the entire Congress even though it’s controlled by Democrats. McCain and Sarah 2008. It's gonna happen.

SORRY OBAMA, you lost, now, go back to Chicago and move in with ACORN.
Poll History is a huge "LIE" | 2:07 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
President McCain and VP Sarah is not behind in nothing, they ran around the World, passed by Obama 20 times over, ran right by him, and is way in the lead, the liberal polls press don't want you to know this LARGE FACT, however Obamacon has some serious flaws that aren't being exposed enough. Did you know many Republicans are going to support Obama? This is because they are angry over economic policies of the current administration. Show these people the flawed Obama spending plans and economic policies! McCain does have a good record when it comes to pork, lets exploit it. What really counts to most in this election is what a Candidate will do for me. The Social Utopian View: Private jets and Limos for them, bicycles and public transport for us. Energy prices control our freedom to travel, unless of course you ride a bicycle or walk, you can make your mind up. These so called environmentalist fly in private jets or ride in limos or large SUVs and never ride public transportation. How did we get such hypocrites in office? A lack of voter education is one of the primary reasons for sure.
RE: Poll History is a huge "LIE" | 4:15 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
"President McCain and VP Sarah is not behind in nothing..."

So you're saying they're behind in everything?

Double negatives quickly reveal one's stupidity. Use them sparingly.
For future reference, the singular form of "be" is "is". The plural form is "are".

Call me a jerk, but I do take the intelligence of a person into account when considering his or her opinion.
liberal Larry | 7:23 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
The debates had a huge psychological effect on the voters. As superficial as it sounds, Obama is young, tall, and vigorous. McCain is older, very stiff from his war injuries, and looking kind of tired. McCain/Palin's bashing of Obama and whining about the dreaded "liberal" media, have made them look even more petty. Bush's economic melt down is the final nail in McCain's political coffin.

It appears that you Utahns are in a state of denial
over the upcoming election.I watched you all moan and groan when your man Mitt went down and your disdain for McCain! You all seem to feel it that it is a GOD GIVEN RIGHT for a Republican to live in the
White House.Anything other that would be....EVIL!!!
CougarKeith | 8:20 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Here is a sad fact to think about: McCain is the better man, the better candidate and would be the best president of the two major candidates. Penny for your thoughts, It is destiny that Barack Obama win the White House, 2012 will fall within his 1st 4 years, every major "Seer" and "Dooms-Dayist" says 2012 will reign in "The End" or a "New Beginning", possibly WW III? Who better to be in charge of the World's most powerful nation than a weak, under experienced man like Barack Obama? Could he be the "Anti-Christ" so many await? Read your scriptures, the "Anti-Christ" will be adored and loved and viewed as a "Savior" for the world giving "NEW HOPE", does this all fit? Look up "Anti-Christ" on You-tube, it is pretty interesting. I used to joke around with my wife that Barack was the "Coming Anti-Christ" the Protestants talk about, after tripping across a few things, I am not so sure my joking was a joke. The media loves him, People love him, he is "Alluring", and he is a great motivational speaker! Other than that he has pretty much been raise taxes, kill babies, and people want to elect him!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Re:CougarKeith | 9:20 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Everyone should take a good look at your post. It's the kind of thinking that has controlled this country for the last 8 years, and is the kind of thinking that would control it for 4 more if McCain and Palin win the election. Look where that's gotten us. McCain/Palin have already tried that particular kind of thing against Barrack Obama, and it's only working with the extreme right wing religious nuts who believe in that sort of nonsense. It doesn't work with educated, rational, adult people.

"panic - disorder case with anger management issues"
Well that explains a lot.
CougarKeith | 9:37 a.m. Oct. 13, 2008
To "Re:CougarKeith", where have McCain and Palin been doing that? They have been asking about William Aires and Rev Wright, they have NEVER ACCUSED Barack of being the "Anti-Christ"! Everyone is all over Palin about a trooper who tazzered his 10 year old son! Does this man deserve to wear a badge? Yet nobody is asking about Barack Obama and his ties to Aires, and his political career that started with a fund raiser at the man's house! Or his 20 years in Rev Wrights pews! If he was white and the word black was substituted with "White" he would be shamed out of the race, but not the All-Powerful-Supreme Obama, he is a saint! Hate to tell you, he is a REVERSE RACIST! He resents Whites! He smells black power every way you turn him to the wind! HE IS BRINGING UP THE RACE CARD! The fact is the radical "right" is pointing this out, not Palin or McCain! This man is BAD FOR AMERICA! I ask, give me 3 good things this guy has done since he became a senator? Show me legislation he initiated? Show me his voting record, where has he crossed party lines? He Hasn't!!!

Fox News and Rush have become like the boy who cried wolf too many times. They do the same swift boating every four years. What have they promoted as the best solution: Bush? Fox and the conservative media have attacked McCain for being too liberal.

I don't know why the red Utah people are so up in arms.
America just wants a change. We go through this thing all the time.
No matter who wins the election, nothing much will change at all. It never really does.

What needs to stop is the reactionary hate we have been seeing in this country.

Calm down and smell the stock market. It will get better.

Just pray, and if you dont pray, then hope for jobs, healthcare, homes for the working people, education, the national debt paid down, and some respect from the world that we once had, and all the things we love about living in these United States. Pray no matter who wins the election.

Hope and pray. Its all we got.

Well good morning, it's always a pleasure, blogging with you, why, with all this "made up doom and gloom" lies your liberal drive by news media is putten out, is like tossing gas onto a fire, and, in their lieing polls, (of about 2500 ppl doing them) with over 300 MILLION PPL that did not take them, I am sure you clicked onto this poll several times to, like the other diehard socialist's also did, to make it seem Obamacon is ahead, when he's not. But look at the bright side here, it curled your toes, to answer Brother Chuck Schroeder, BECAUSE HE'S 100% right, he tells the truth, and as you know also, "liberal's hate the truth". Enjoy your coffee, wake up and smell the roses, along with President McCain, in his new rose garden, in the White House. It's gonna happen. Keep smiling now, it makes ppl wounder what cha been up to lately. Tis blame enough to spread around. Both sides, the liberal controled Congress aisle. But Domino One of this money mess. Was drawn from the Donkey's pile. Vote for President McCain and VP Sarah, you'll be better off.

It's a call to arms, a platform of bold colors with no pastel shades, just as Ronald Reagan described the 1976 Platform that Delegates adopted after rejecting the Ford-Kissinger platform. Republicans recognize the importance of having in the home a father and a mother who are married. The two-parent family still provides the best environment of stability, discipline, responsibility, and character. Children in homes without fathers are more likely to commit a crime, drop out of school, become violent, become teen parents, use illegal drugs, become mired in poverty, or have emotional or behavioral problems. We support the courageous efforts of single-parent families to provide a stable home for their children. Children are our nation's most precious resource. We also salute and support the efforts of foster and adoptive families. Republicans have been at the forefront of protecting traditional marriage laws, both in the states and in Congress. Unbelievably, the Democrat Party has now pledged to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act. McCain and Sarah 2008.
CougarKeith | 12:35 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Well the fact is, McCain is too liberal, but he is a far better cry than Obama! I don't like either of them to tell you the truth, but I am sick of the media attacking McCain and Palin and treating Obama with kid gloves! They treat him like he couldn't stain a pair of white gloves serving ketchup popsicles to kids in the middle of a heatwave! It's rediculous! That is what bothers me, it makes me sick and it upsets me a great degree. Why can't we have a FAIR and UNBIAS NEWS COVERAGE of the election and the candadates? The american people deserve at least that. I am sick of the "Media" (Because it isn't even news anymore) slanting everything to the way they want it. They set it up this way so they could have their candidate win, that is what they think anyway. It makes me sick these two even got the nominations, although I do trust McCain with our nations defense and our country in his hands in the face of war and the threat of terrorism.
Re: Kitty - CougarKeith 12:35 | 12:54 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Obama's lieing poll's are just sowing socialist seeds in young people is all. The Democrat Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America. The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away. Vote for President McCain, and, Sarah November 4th.
Anonymous | 1:32 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
By the way, these presidential polls they're just all over the place today. You've got Obama up four and a half, Obama up five, you've got Obama up six. The Fox poll that was just announced this hour? Get this: 46-39 Obama. 46-39. Now, before you start focusing on the spread of seven points, this tells me that they're disgusted with all these candidates. 46-39 means that the people are fed up with these campaigns until McCain touched down in Wisconsin yesterday and got a dose of our anger. But Obama is going to trying to be bland as he can, he's not going to tell you anything specific, he's in the lead, and so he is Mr. Boring, he is Mr. Don't-upset-the-applecart, and people are losing interest. Gone is the day where he was The Messiah, the Lord Barack Obama, the Most Merciful.
Murray Dad votes 4 McCain now | 1:34 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Let me synthesize this for you. People who shouldn't be voting. People who shouldn't be getting home loans. These practices are undermining our country, but these people who shouldn't be voting ACORN-registered voters 7200 times, whatever; people who get loans, mortgages that they can never pay back this is the new Democrat Party power base. The push to get people in homes they can't afford has undermined the economy. The push to get people to the polls who don't even know where the polls are, much less who is running for office, because they are either dead or they vote someplace else. This will undermine the political system.
Anonymous | 5:51 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
You know what you independents ought to do? You ought to put a McCain-Palin sign in the front yard and on the other side of the sign in the front yard but an Obama-Biden sticker. Then put both campaign's bumper stickers on your car. They're still running around saying, "I don't know what I'm going to do, I can't figure it out, I'm undecided." That's a crock. Basically what you have here, and this is a sad thing, you got 40% of the American people who do not want the socialistic change Obama is proposing, 40% of the American people do. The other 20% are too disengaged while thinking they're the elites and smartest people in the room to understand what's going on. They're the ones that get caught up, "Well, we gotta change things, well, I like the way the guy sounds, well, he sounds intelligent." So you add a percentage of that, 20% that's the undecided, the moderates, the elites, whatever you want to call them, to the 40% who want to go socialist, and then of course you have a recipe there for potential disaster.
Have a good night folk's | 5:53 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Let me sum up where we are right now. We've got 22 days to go, and I think the clearest way to look at where the campaign is, is to conclude that Senator McCain is now campaigning on Obama's terms. Now, Senator McCain did have a firebrand speech just now in Norfolk with Governor Palin, and he came out swinging on some things. We'll see. We have a big debate on Wednesday night where Senator McCain says he's going to whip Obama's you-know-what. The clearest way to look at the campaign right now is to conclude that McCain is campaigning on Obama's terms. Obama has dictated what McCain can campaign on and how he can campaign. He did the same thing to Hillary. If McCain or his supporters step outside the box that Obama has built for them, then they're viciously attacked as racist or whatever. It is clearly an attempt to shut people up. It is an attempt to intimidate people. McCain & Sarah 2008.
rocky mountain votes 4 McCain | 10:05 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
I agree if McCain/Palin do not win the election, which we ocntinually pray they will, and if Obama/Biden win, then the majority of the people in America, will be voting against God's values of family life, marriage between one man and one woman, and abortists killing pure and innocement little babies. How can anyone who believes in God and knows what God says is right, vote for Obama and Biden when they are for abortions and homesexual marriages, etc. We are told to vote for those who will most likely value God's ways. If the majority of the nation votes for those who allow abortions and homosexual marriages, etc, then the blessings God upon that nation will be withdrawn and that nation will fall as is shown in scriptures of other nations that choose not the ways of God.
McCain and Palin are far from perfect and yes we would prefer Mitt Romney but voting for McCain is far better than allowing this choice land of America to fall into liberal socialism Obama/Biden.

Wow, I couldn't wait to see you guys melt down and you're doing it three weeks early. By Election Night, you're going to be barely coherent.

Don't worry, though. After a few months of President Obama in office, you'll hopefully realize that the world isn't going to come to an end. Who knows, maybe you'll even learn to enjoy the benefits of a Democratic administration...
Misstepsaplenty | 1:21 a.m. Oct. 14, 2008
Yes, there are plenty of misteps out there to have eliminated Obama months ago had we been living in an age of reality and morality. It seems that many of this present generation of Americans have lots in common with Obama...with Bill Clinton having set the stage his prececessors do not have to measure up like in days of old. Socialism shall run rampant in America. The old freedoms that we used to enjoy are fast fleeing the scene. Obama will reign supreme as the lines for government services lengthen in the new USA! You vote for him..you get him...together with all his anti US cronies and Southside of Chicago gangland baggage.
Ronald A, Young | 1:59 a.m. Oct. 14, 2008
If McCain is to far behind to win then "let US Pray" Why do we bother to have elections when all we have to do take a Poll of 1000 people and decide. Why? Because Polls are very often wrong. Why should I tell a Pollster who I am going to Vote for the Voting is supposed to be secret. In some areas it is not PC, not to be voting for Obama. So you just do what you need to do. It is not funny anymore and he needs to be defeated on Election Day.

The H.A. a very Bias Pro Obama Newspaper. Stated that the Obama People where going after Nevada because so many Hawaiians have relocated there. Because of Jobs, Housing etc. The trouble with that is that many tend not to Vote. So we will have see. Both Registration and Turn Out are poor in Hawaii.

What get me is the Military who tend to be more Conservative do not Vote strongly either. They either Vote Absentee back to where ever their from or not at all. The Main excuse is they are only going to be here a few years so it doesn’t affect them.

TO rocky mountain votes, etc., What you clearly worship is the Republican party, which has indeed become a religion in this state. You know nothing about my personal faith in God, my belief in my beloved America, or the values I have tried to live for 60 years, yet you pronounce a judgement upon me and others if we do not vote for your candidate. It is not enough for you to respectfully voice your views..you must go much further and denigrate the free choices others make by careful and even prayerful consideration. As far as I know, God is neither a Republican or a Democrat, is no respector of persons, and loves all his children ( just as we love each of our own). By all means, vote your conscience, but leave the judging of others to One who knows infintely better how to take the measure of a man or woman's heart.

Just thought I would bring that to your attention.

Ummm, I think the same guy posted about 7 times in a row here. Man, it's gotta be tough when the economy hits and neo-con dreams begin to fade away. But by this time next year, we'll be changing laws, marrying gays and beginning to find suitable Supreme Court nominees to fill seats over the next eight years. I don't ever expect Utah to come to it's collective senses, but at least have the good grace to lower your trowsers politely and take your spanking.

Wow! I think 90% of the above posts are from a single, highly-caffeinated poster using a variety of different names. I sure wish the Deseret News would get some kind of control on these forums by insisting people register like the Trib does. It doesn't eliminate people loading up a single forum from multiple "IDs", but it makes it more difficult, and as a result the forums are more substantive.

The above thread is just one, continuous rant (and I'm not an Obama fan), when we could have had a serious discussion from intelligent, informed voters.

Back on topic, it seems patently obvious that Obama is a) severely underqualified, b) has serious issues regarding his consistent associations with strident proponents of violence, hatred and socialism, and c) has been designed and "manufactured" as a dream candidate with full complicity of the mainstream media.

It reminds me of Milli Vanilli winning the 1990 Best New Artist Grammy Award when they were just lip-synching. Grammy Awards can be taken away...what do you do after you elect a president and find out there's little substance, and what substance exists lies in diametric opposition to what most Americans hold dear?

Scary....
Dont Blame Me | 1:35 p.m. Oct. 14, 2008
If Barack Obama wins this election, you can blame all the "Republicans" that had enough liberalism in them to vote for McCain and Mitt Romney. Conservatives voted for Mike Huckabee, and the only thing conservative about John McCain now is Sarah Palin.

Had the GOP elected a conservative reformer such as Mike Huckabee, the rest of the nation may very well rally behind him, but the GOP didn't. The GOP picked McCain, and McCain is almost as liberal as Obama.

So, to all of you that voted for Romney and McCain: this debacle is your fault. Don't blame me, I voted for Mike Huckabee.

Well, apparently you elect that president again as evidenced by the past presidential administration.
