Congratulations, Skyhawks!
I'm proud of the community for sticking by this young team and the coach. Starting up is hard when many of the seniors stay at their original school and it's awesome of the ones who came to keep working hard and finally get the school's first football win! Salem Hills has a bright future and the kids who got this first victory will be a part of Skyhawk lore forever.
Congratulations, team, and thanks, Coach Morgan!

A team wins 1 region game and qualifies for a playoff game? Unreal.

Great job Skyhawks. The first of many. And I can't wait to kick buns in basketball and baseball. You're a great bunch of kids.

We are so pathetic, no wonder they beat us. We have athletes here but never a coach. Even when we won baseball, no coaching, just amazing athletes. It's embarrassing.

carbon does have good athletes. when i was in eigth grande they beat us 62-0 with that salazar kid. i wish i could go against tham now just so i can get revenge.

to say there is no coaching in Carbon is exactly why you struggle. That is the attitude that prevails here and until it changes (parents & players supporting the coaches and realizing they are good coaches) we will continue to lose in every sport! What have we done in baseball since the parents got Herrick fired? Nothing! Before, almost every year, we were competing for a State title, placing in the top four almost every year. You and people like you fired one of the best baseball coaches in the state, and now you are complaining there is no coaching! Get a life!

There are some great athletes in Carbon County, but they are spoon feed too long by their parents and buy into their parents' philosophy and ignore what the coaches ask them to do. I've never witnessed a community so negative towards their coaches and athletics, and that carries over onto the field and courts and affects the student athletes abilities to perform.
