WE WANT OREM

MV was fortunate to win. Really the difference was an extra point that hit the upright. The two teams looked pretty even, but this was a big game because MV now has the No. 2 seed locked up.

Yes Mountain View has the number 2 seed locked up, but look at who Mountain View will get as a 2nd round game; Cottonwood - that will be fun. It is arguable that the number 3 seed, which will be Springville has a better draw...probably playing Dixie the 1st round and if they can get a win, they will play Mountain Crest. So if both Mountain View and Springville win their 1st round, who would you rather have, Cottonwood or Mountain Crest?

Realistically, Springville would be elated just to win one playoff game, and it would have been better to have a home game. And a home game would have been good for the program after what happened last season. Neither team is going to get past round two so that doesn't really matter.

The SV/MV game was a good one. They truly are evenly matched, yet with two distinctive styles. Truth is, MV would love to have an Allred, and I'm sure SV would love to add the bruising power of Heimuli. I have watched all of MV's games this year.
I have to ask. . . What is up with all of their muscle cramps? I can understand the first game tightness and lack of prepardness, but 6 and 7 games into the season, these guys are locked up like grandpa getting out of his rocker. Not one game has gone by without someone writhing in pain on the sidelines.
I know many of MV players are going both ways on offense and defense, but dang Gina! Coaches, are they not getting hydrated or are they just physically out of game shape? I know that conditioning is really not a huge part of Coach T Johnson's daily practice schedule. Maybe it should be. MV players were falling like flies in the second half. Drink up or condition up guys. . . maybe you should follow BYU's remedy of drinking pickle juice. (fact or fiction)

Don't forget... Dixie beat Springville 21-3 earlier in the year. That's not going to be an easy first round game by any meanns against Dixie or Pine View

That was an amazing game! I cant believe the double reverse, and double reverse pass worked! Thats what you expect from the bruins, an amazing performance and the most incredible game. GO BRUINS!

An extra point is worth 1 point. The bruins won by 8
Where? | 3:34 p.m. Oct. 11, 2008
Where did all the Red Devil Pride, "We're gonna take state" people go? Hmmm, the bubble finally burst and brought you back to reality, eh?
Re: Where? | 10:51 p.m. Oct. 11, 2008
Real Red Devil fans haven't missed your narcissistic, poisonous vitriol since the Devil's went on a 5-game winning streak. Of course, one loss and you're back to throw it up in our faces. What's wrong with you? This team will finish with three times as many wins as last year, and take the third seed in Region 7. Not sit home like last year praying for a coaching change.

2 games left | 12:15 a.m. Oct. 12, 2008
So certain there gonna get the third seed huh? dont count your eggs before they hatch a lot can change between now and halloween
study the schedule | 5:36 p.m. Oct. 12, 2008
Hey "2 games left" take a few minutes and study Springville's remaining schedule. University of Timpview on Wednesday (obviously a loss) and then 10 days to prepare for Payson, which the Red Devils will win. That leaves the Red Devils with 4 wins and 2 losses. Provo, Payson and Orem already have 3 losses....so go get yourself already for Halloween, as you obviously won't be hired as an "egg counter" or the next "great Zuke."

When I become a Red Devil fan I'll let you know. Having never been, don't know what your knee-jerk reaction was about. Sounds like Springville needs to get their house in order.
Okay Dan! ...or friends of Dan | 7:41 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
With three more wins then last year's pathetic showing, and a spot in the State Tourney sewn up, I'd say Springville NOW HAS IT'S "house in order."
If I sound bitter, it's because I am. What was done to last year's team, and especially it's Seniors, was horrible. And all we get from you is sour-grapes digs and snide comments directed at Coach Mitchell and Rick Robins.
Anyone with a novice understanding of football can see the night-and-day coaching difference between last year's team and this one.

Well, I live in Orem, my name is Josh, and I don't have any friends named Dan. Don't know who Rick Robins is and couldn't care less. Next time you feel like calling someone out at least be more knowledgeable of who you want to argue with. Sheesh!
One More... | 8:54 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Since I was brave enough to share my name in the last post, unless DN decides not to post it because they don't want this hissy fit to be posted, for which I commend them, it would be nice if you came clean instead of hiding behind a Red Devil Pride phrase.

My son played last year for Mtn View. What a great game. Springville you looked great. Glad to see you winning again. Mitchell will make a big difference. Just don't ruin it Red Devil fans. It will take a little time. Hey go suprise Univ. of Timpview.
Josh? | 10:11 p.m. Oct. 13, 2008
Do you really expect us to believe that your life is so pathetic that you having nothing better to do than sit around monitoring and commenting on a MV/Springville blog?
Well... | 7:48 a.m. Oct. 14, 2008
I'm just a MV fan, sorry I didn't know that it was pathetic to support them. This all started because I was happy we beat Springville after they were on here for the last few weeks claiming they were good enough to win state. But I guess it's ok for you to sit around monitoring your own team, just don't let anyone let them know they lost. Anyway, I'm kind of tired of this pointless banter, you can continue with yourself if you want. I'll be at the games cheering on my team.
Re: Well... | 11:57 a.m. Oct. 15, 2008
Funny how for a so called "Bruin fan" that your first three comments above, "Where?", "To Re: Where?", "2 Games Left", didn't make ANY reference to the Bruins, only about Springville. And your claim that Springville fans have been claiming they were good enough to win state is bogus. Nowhere have I seen Springville fans say they were gonna "win state." Prove it!
So nice try to disguise your identity and Springville/Mapleton ties. You're here to take shots at Springville when you see an opportunity.

The Springville "fan" who is having a shouting match with high school kids from other teams needs to stop. If you honestly support our team, then stop picking a fight with others, get off the blog and get into the stands.
There are going to be critics in every corner, ignore them and move on. The only thing that matters is how our boys do on the field. I for one have found talk like this and the example set by parents in these blogs only fuels off-the-field issues and brings them to the forefront on the field, which will never help Coach Mitchell or his team.
If you truly have "Red Devil Pride," show it at the games by supporting our team, not by calling other teams and their fans out. We have a big one at Timpview tonight, come on out, we'll need all the support we can get!
