Them Wildcats will dismantle them Templars, I reckon. Take em apart stone by stone. Yep.
Provo | 10:10 a.m. Oct. 10, 2008
Provo won't get that milestone win because they chickened out on even playing the game. Good luck scheduling nonregion games next season Bulldogs.

George I hope your planning on Publishing a new book with the last 10 years of Utah high school football.
Buffalo hope | 11:21 a.m. Oct. 10, 2008
Tooele buffs step it up. We need this win tonight. Whatever the coaches tell you, you can do it!
hsfootballfan | 11:49 a.m. Oct. 10, 2008
why has no one even MENTIONED that Delta has played absolutely nobody? They haven't played a good team yet. We'll see how many "shutouts" they get against some good teams.
Tooele | 12:02 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
WHo cares what the coaches think. Buffs you can win!
FNR | 12:14 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
I'm not sure, but I was just wondering why Syracuse isn't listed where you mention this years biggest turn arounds. Syracuse was 0-10 last year and this year they are 6-1! Great job Titans.
question | 1:16 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
where can we find his book?
KG | 1:16 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
Oops... made... not make.
KG | 1:20 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
Delta's competition hasn't been the best, but you can't really blame them for that. They don't get to decide which region they play in. (Kind of like Timpview playing in a weak region).
I will say this, though, it isn't easy to record that many shutouts no matter who you are playing.
Give them the respect they deserve. And yes, we will see how they stack up against formidible opponents starting in a couple weeks with JD. Can't wait.
New School | 1:35 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
ToNHR: It is a big turn around, maybe its because it was a new school last year and no one expected them to win and all their seniors are returning on the entire team. These kids have played football just as long as all other seniors,at different schools so show me another team that returns all seniors no matter what school they are playing for..but you are right, it is a huge turn=around. Congratulations
Tooele | 3:17 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
That right there is why you don't win.. "who cares what the coaches say".. smart
George Felt | 5:31 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
FNR, you're absolutely right about Syracuse and my apologies for overlooking the Titans - they've improved the most this year in terms of won-loss record.
Few schools have gone from a winless first season to a winning second season. Excluding Syracuse, of the 120 schools that have played football in Utah, 40 lost every game their first season. Only eight of those 40 had a winning record the next year.
Most recent: Northridge (0-9 in 1992 to 7-3 in '93), Hunter (0-9 in '90 to 10-2 in '91), Clearfield (0-9 in '61 to 6-3 in '62) and Bonneville (0-8 in '60 to 7-3 in '61).
To question: If you'd like a copy of Utah High School Football 1893-1998, let me know at utahprepfb@gmail.com. Copies should also be available in most public and high school libraries (unless they've been ripped off).

Thank you for all your amazing statistics that you provide Mr. Felt. I would love to sit down with you and soak up all the knowledge you have about HS football. I do have one question that I have been wanting to know for a very long time, but can't seem to find an answer to. What is Mountain Crest's all time record vs. Sky View, and what is their record against Logan. I remember going to MC football games since I was 3 years old, and I am only remembering maybe 6 losses to Sky View since MC started in 1983. I would love it if you could help me with this.
Tooele | 10:20 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
Where is Tooele?
George Felt | 10:40 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008

Funny...I thought South Summit was going to take the templers apart stone by stone...what is that all about...better start putting the stones back! Don't ya think! i stinks to eat crow or stones....
Friday Night Rider | 11:28 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
Thank you so much for that Mr. Felt! You made my day! I knew my Mustangs held the upper hand, but Sky View has won more than I thought! For a while there it always almost seemed like a give that we would be SV and Logan was our real rival, but I am quite enjoying the renewed rivalry with the Bobcats! It's fun to have the classic North vs. South battle in Cache Valley. Especially because Sky View was split in the building of MC! I would LOVE another state championship between the two!
hsfootballfan | 11:41 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
Mountain Crest will thump SV next week.
Bountiful fan | 11:54 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008
yes I agree that moutain crest will kill sky view because sky view's starting QB is out only reason why we won
Tiger fan | 1:29 p.m. Oct. 11, 2008
I wonder why we never get reports on Ogden's games. They have played well all season and bear watching going into the playoffs now that key players are back and the team has learned their new offense and defense. Go Tigers!
