This coal ash dump is the second dumbest idea to ever hit Sevier County. The first, of course, is the idea of building a $700 million coal-fired power plant next to 180 homes in Sigurd, in the middle of the tiny Sevier Valley.

Remember to vote for Tobiah Dillon for Senate District 24! He may be a Democrat, but he's a real good guy and supports the people and the Constitution. Don't let that commissioner win!

What a sad idea for economic development for Sevier County! The county commissioners responsible and the economic development director should be run out of the county.
This sounds like mess after mess to clean up. I'm glad they can vote on it and get rid of it once and for all.

Let's go back to the horse and buggy days and read our scriptures by candle light.

If not here, Where? If not now, When? Everyone wants and needs electrical power, but no one wants it in their backyard. With millions of tons of coal in central Utah and clean coal technology, some common sense must prevail. Hundreds of jobs in the area are directly related to the coal industry. I know all the Sevier County Commissioners and the Economic Director, they are honorable honest men. It is time individuals from "Citizens for Clean Air" stop attacking their character and every decision they make. You certainly have a right to oppose the power plant, but many of us in the Sevier area are disturbed by the constant attacks on every decision made of our local elected officials.

Maybe we could have a referendum vote on who should have their power turned off.

Instead of a dump they need to build a processing plant for the fly ash which is a valuable industrial commodity.
