Only one problem...too many Republicans
Texas not on the list | 8:34 a.m. Oct. 7, 2008
I'm surprised the University of Texas at Austin did not make the list. The spouse association and "Little Longhorns" (children's group) provided a great support group for my family while I earned my MBA.

We had about 150 students in my class at the beginning of my first year in BYU's MBA program in the last '70s. The grind and special classes three out of four Saturday's contributed to the seven divorces among us that year. The program was revamped and a new Director brought in for the next year. I'm glad to read of family-friendly atmosphere there now.

U is definitely not family friendly. But, it is student friendly! BYU has to be family friendly as there is hardly any diversity and you only see white brain-washed faces (except the awesome football players).

Only 5th and 6th? | 12:14 a.m. Oct. 8, 2008
Could it have something to do with being able to earn a wage that can actually support a family with either MBA? Both schools could use a little local help from the Gov and Econ. Development honchos wherein they stop selling Utah's workforce at such bargain basement rates when pursuing business. Talk to me about Ivy Leaguer's smack dab in the middle of the Wall Street mess.

I currently attend BYU's MBA program and I find its diverse, family-friendly atmosphere wonderful. The curriculum and instruction are intense and fulfilling. My only criticism of its diversity (as a female student) is that the school consistently comes in low on the ratio of women to men.
