Good for Springsteen! | 12:45 p.m. Oct. 6, 2008
I'm glad people like Springsteen can exploit their celebrity status to promote their politics. Especially when it's people like Springsteen and other multi-milionairs in the entertainment industry who are the target of Obama's proposed tax increases.

I'm pretty sure Springsteen makes more than $250K/year, so he is one of the many evil people that don't deserve to keep what they make and should have to turn it over to the Government to be redistributed to the poor and the middle-class (who obviously need Springsteen and other multi-millionair entertainer's money more than they do).

When Obama wins, I can't wait to see Springsteen, Tom Cruise and other high paid entertainer's faces when they realise they voted to have their salaries capped at middle-class levels.

I'm pretty sure there's going to be a clause in Obama's tax code that exempts those over-paid people in Hollywood, Rock Stars, Hip-Hop "artists", Atheletes and multi-millionair politicians like Al Gore and Ted Kennedy! We all know the plan to increase taxes (but only for the rich) isn't targetted at celebrities, it's only the evil over-paid American CEOs, business owners, Entrepreneurs, investors, etc who are way over-paid and therefore need to be punished with sky-high taxes.

I'm sure that Springsteen and others are all aware they will be paying more in taxes. But guess what? The country has been good to them and they don't mind paying a little more I'm sure that they can afford it. "Ask what you can do for your country"

Taxes aren't everything, and though being a celebrity doesn't make one an economist, neither does it mean you are wrong. And it's not as though Republicans don't have celebrities - CA made one of them governor! So they can have their own concert with some country music act or a straight Liberace tribute. Just keep the speeches short.

I like it when . . . . | 9:14 p.m. Oct. 6, 2008
Hollywood tries to tell me what to do. I then know the right thing to do is just the opposite.
